Good luck and enjoy the vape journey.
I'm so pumped up now! Thanks for the guidance and info !Hello, you are on the right track, vaping will definitely help you quit smoking, the variables award the opportunities necessary to gradually reduce your needs and or cravings to a point which You choose and not your cravings. While there are countless units available to appease and or satisfy unlimited preferences there are also many which are perfectly suited and geared for those who wish to utilize the concept and benefits of vapor. In the beginning when I started pondering the idea and possibility I made some choices which lead to nowhere, but I stayed the course convinced this was a far greater alternative than others which put the creativity and the power in my own hands, eventually I would find the tools I needed. Once I found something that worked for me I never opened another pack of cigarettes and never wanted to. Getting rid of cigarettes and ALL of the associations was one of the greatest things I have ever accomplished. I had smoked cigarettes for many many years, tried countless alternatives and deterrents, this actually worked! Now as a novice mixologist smoking has become a choice and not a necessity! At this point it is somewhat of a hobby to mix and enjoy flavors, speaking of which the ability to taste and smell and even breathe better all came back to life! If you stay the course you will find success. This is an awesome forum with some incredible amounts of information, the members here are awesome and as you see are more than willing to guide you and provide insight! I hope this is somewhat helpful for you and wish you the best in your conquest!![]()
THank you Susan-S! 've got some reading to do for sure!Hello and welcome to the forum @PokerFace07. Glad to have you here!
If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below is a blog post by ECF member @Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.
Here are a few more links from New Members Information <= Link covers many topics. Here are two of them:
Nicotine
A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. If you are subohming (resistance under 1.0Ω) cut these nicotine levels by at least 50% (or vape less).
06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes
eLiquid/Juice
PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG. It's very thin.
VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient. It's very thick. Often labeled just "Glycerine"
PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Some juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.
