The new protank clone, kamry x9

Just got mine in today, Im getting a burnt taste. Any tips to make this perform better?

Coming from Kanger T3s and cartos.

I had that problem with a couple of Vapeonly BCCs. Pulling some of the top wick out fixed it. What's happening is the wick is pinched at the entrance and juice won't flow fast enough. Taking some wick out lets the remaining wick fluff and flow. Some tweezers are highly recommended.

p.s. Forgot I got one of the fasttech knock-off evods and had this problem too. I didn't try removing wick before digging into it, but when I did get in it looked like the coil itself was strangling the wick. I rebuilt it without truly determining the cause, but the coil looked suspect to me. If slipping out some of the top wick doesn't help, consider rewrapping the coil.

Donwuan I'm guessing you are using the head that came with it. I suggest the genuine kangers.

Thats why you dont shop at Vaperite. Lol yeah, $7 for 2 coils (I just checked the site) is an absolute ripoff! Any online vendor that tries to take advantage of somebody's inexperience, should be "cut off" forever.

Like Lynch mentioned DV (Discount Vapors) is a very credible vendor. But personally I would get them from wordupecigs, only because with the free shipping its a little cheaper then DV. Ive had great experiences with both vendors.

Ive placed a order with worldupecig and see how that works. Like everything else, Im not seeing the hype about the protank if the clone is anything close. Similar to my kanger t3s/Mt bbc that I use now.

Im really not a big fan of Vaperite. I could go on another really long rant but I will not at the moment. Since I only go because of convenience, I expect to spend a little extra but they tried to sell me some carto's(not boge if that matters) for $10 with tax. I swore I seen those cheaper ones for under $5 bucks a pack but blah blah blah read my other thread for my experience.

Finally filled up my X9 and put her to the test. First...before filling...I removed the stock head, and replaced it with a genuine Evod head. I know some people haven't had problems with the "stock" heads from Fast Tech, but I don't even bother with them any more. Waaaaay too much primer for my liking. Anyway...as far as the tank goes, I'm really diggin' it. It's nice and solid, the capacity is awesome, and the draw (IMO) is damn near perfect. Night and day compared to my experience with the Kanger Protank.

I Initially removed one of the top flavor wicks from my Evod before filling with Bobas Bounty (very thick juice). I'm down to about .5 ml's left in the tank, and I've had no issues as far as performance.

The only thing negative I have to report, is a "whistling" sound I get on the draw. This may be because of the Evod head, or the juice I'm using...I just don't know. It's not a big deal, and I certainly wouldn't discourage anyone from buying the X9 for this reason. But does anybody else get this whistling noise on their draw, or is it just me?

Bottom line...I've yet to buy a $7 tank that I've been more pleased with (as of now)

I get this whistling sound with my FT Evods, so perhaps it is something to do with the head? I don't notice it but my wife is saying "You're whistling again" a lot when I'm running an Evod.

Just received my order of 4 on Saturday. I must say that I am pleased with them for the price. Yes, there aren't glass. O-ring on base doesnt seem to be much. But none leaked and all the pieces were there. I rebuilt the heads with cotton, along with 4 extra heads I ordered. Loaded 3 of the tanks with juice and they are working fine. I do like the draw better than my original protank. It's a bit tighter in my opinion.

I dropped and broke one of my Vapeonly BCCs this morning, so I pulled the trigger on both an X9 and an X10. Looking forward to doing some comparisons myself.
I got one of the grey tinted X9s. Wonder if the revised body style will be any different other than cosmetically (?)

IMO Way better then the Kanger. There's no comparison in my book! Very similar to the flavor of an Evod. Get yourself one...it will be $7 well spent.
