I disagree. I got the 4 that I ordered and put a new kanger 1.8 in it ( I only use 1.8 and 1.5 ohm coils at 3.7) and was immediately disturbed that I had to draw on it 2 to 2.5 times to get the same amount of vape as the Kanger Pro. I hate it because of the problems the earlier Protanks had. Any way, I Immediately went out to the garage and started drilling the single hole bigger. I found that I really need a second hole in it. These will go to the desk drawer and I will continue with the kanger Pro's or drill the extra fore mentioned hole.

On a positive note, All of the folks that like the tight draw of an Evod and similar devices are gonna all love this tank.

We are all different.. my two cents

I posted this over on Fast Tech as well, which is where I bought my tanks. I have received a couple X9s and an X10 recently in the mail, and both seem like Pyrex to me. I compared them to my Kanger ProTanks and it really seems like the same type of tank. I don't know if they changed it recently or what, but mine are glass. If they have changed them recently, I'm about to go order a whole ....-ton of them before the new crappy ones come in!

Update: After closer scrutiny, there is a chance these tanks are plastic, although it is rock hard thick plastic. My old lady gave it the fingernail tap test and compared that to a ProTank, and she is pretty sure they are plastic. Either way, they are sturdy little tanks as long as you are careful what juice you put in em.

Quick update.... The Kangor Pro 2 has just been announced. I've just pre ordered at 15 bucks each...

Awesome! I wish i hadn't just spent around $50 on ProTanks recently! So the ProTank 2 looks a lot like a T3, only glass instead of polypropylene, and you can take it apart more like a Vivi Nova for better cleaning. This thing looks like it took all the best features of all three of my favorite tanks and wrapped them into one neat little package!

I have been using my X9s for a few weeks now. I can truly say I love them more than my protanks. yes they are plastic, I just have to avoid using tank cracking juice in them, I'll use my protanks for those. but they give me a more consistent hit, does leak much. and hold a tad bit more than my protanks. I'll be muying more in different colors just so i know what juice is in what tank. this is a great tank for 6 bucks.

My X9 is rocking. I love it! But not quite as much as my X10, which is imho superior. Not as pretty, but a lovely tight vape with good mouthfeel.

i've been waiting for a comparison of the two. i have a couple x10's on the way and am glad that they are better than the x9. i like my x9, but i like my protank more...

Hi all:

I'm practically a newbie (just started vaping a little a month ago). I got my X9 from Fasttech 2 days ago and I am having all kind of problems with it. First off, it leaks. It works off and on then I started to get the gurgling sound. I unscrew the ego battery and I can see some juice at the base. What do I do wrong? Also, i tried to replace the heating core and one the replacement is dead right out of the box. Right now it works but I am not sure it will last. Is there a better tank out there that you can recommend?

Update:

I stopped by a local eCig shop today to ask for help from the store owner. I showed him how my X9 just stopped working and he right away told me that I need a variable voltage battery to get a reliable hit. And he was right, I replaced my fixed Ego T battery with the variable voltage Ego C Twist and voila I started vaping again. Did not think the battery was such an important part until.

I got a gurgle on mine by not screwing the head in tight enough. I always re-tighten it after removal or re-filling, and it doesn't happen any more. I use mine on a Vamo, though - not sure what the issues might be on an Ego.

Going from fixed to variable is one of the most effective ways to solve 'just not vaping great' issues. Every juice, every device has a different sweet spot, power wise... and power is a matter of resistance and voltage, with the latter being trivial to adjust when you have a VV device and the former being a pain for everyone to fiddle with.

So for those that have the X10 and the X9, which do you prefer? I'll probably just end up buying both. Gotta have something to spend money on

They're both great - bear in mind that they both work on short Evod heads, which might be harder to come by in the future (unless FT keeps finding a source, which I sincerely hope they do).

I just got an X9 from Fasttech. I went with the one labeled *SALE*
Only $4.23 It came with an EVOD head in it. The description says its a plastic tank, but I can't tell the difference.
Hard as Pyrex plastic IMHO. Lot less airy than the real protank. As pointed out in this thread, it does have the air slits in the bottom.
It won't work with a protank beauty ring, the protank beauty ring needs the air slits in the bottom cap or its just sealed shut to the bottom cap. Anyway, I like it better than the real protank, if your on the fence, give one a try :)
