Any fellow vapers out there into astrophotography? I have always loved it but just started actually doing it myself. If you love it too please feel free to post up any images you find.

Here is my first attempt at some time-lapse of the moon. Learned a lot on my first attempt, unfortunately the first night was cloudy so by the second night I only had one battery left. Next time I will be bringing a bunch of them. Also need to start a lot earlier. This was a bit over an hour worth of 20 second exposures for 6 seconds of video. Next one will be a lot longer. Also need to get further away from any small towns, it's incredible how much light pollution even a small town 25 miles away can cause.

This really needs to be watched in HD, too much blur and artifacting in lower resolution.

Da Hubble has spoiled me for exto-galactic images.

Please post your future endeavors!

I actually just downsized my camera equipment to the Fuji mirrorless system to free up some money and because the far lower weight works better for my backpacking trips. I have been hugely impressed with what the little system can do. I also love Stellarium. I use it and The Photographer's Ephemeris all the time.

Here is another one from this weekend. Expect many more to come whenever I can get back out into the wild. This one was a test of different exposure settings to see what I liked better so it changes half way through.
