Wow nose hair trimmer MODS... whats next adult toy Mods now that would be a funny explanation on an airplane or thru customs... talk about a smoking gun!!!

Careful what you ask for you just may get it:evil:. I was on DX site this morning contemplating the idea. The items they sell would only work well as an ecig mod anyhow.;)

Edit: I have also considered the electric razor, walkie talkies, transistor radios, car chargers, mint tins, dead cameras, basically anything that will hold a couple of batteries. Once you get the mod bug, it doesn't stop. Everything you see is a potential mod. It's exhilarating and maddening all at once.

please please please post pics of the inside and detailed instructions. I want one of those.

I finished version 2 and its much improved. It will now use 14500, 2xCR2, 2xCR123A, 18650, etc with no problems.

I'm adding in a few more features and then doing a full step by step document (probably use google) with images and parts list that I will post on here. Hopefully have it this weekend. The forum posts here are just too limited to handle it as it has turned into a fairly comprehensive project. The work is all simple but there is a lot of it.
:)

The features of the 3rd version are:

-Any battery source

-Lightweight (unit is 24g)

-Relatively small size (130x27x23mm)

-Voltage regulated to avoid burning juice from higher power sources when bats are fresh

-Selectable 'turbo' mode that will increase voltage by 0.6v. This allows a 401 mod to run at 4.4v which is damn near perfection for the unit. When bats get low you can turn on turbo mode and still vape away at a nice comfortable level.

-Working on finding a good source for the switches that look really cool and fit the model aesthetics.

-It's pretty damn cheap to make

All we need now is the holy grail. The universal atomizer connector :)

Excellent mod, Nuck :) I think I just might give this one a try. It's the first mod that's really sparked an interest in something I would be willing to try myself.

On a another note... In reference to adult device mods, I suggest the first one be aptly named "The Vaporator." Of course to be worthy of this name, it will need to have long flexible tubing for vaping while it simultaneously serves its originally intended purpose. Marketing tagline - The ultimate "O" for the ladies. :D

I was getting a bit frustrated so I asked my wife if she could help me find something to mod. She found me a nose hair clipper that was very light and felt very good in the hand.
Nuck, great mod!! Wow, you have a very understanding wife!! Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor holds nothing on your missus!! It's funny, the other day, I asked my girlfriend to keep an eye out for things that I might me able to use for mods.....unfortunately, she has not been quite so forthcoming as your wife has! :p
LOL...you are so right nicowolf! My entire dining room table is completely covered w/ all of my modding stuff. Two days ago, I was looking at the mess on my table and my eyes fell on my desolding tool. Next thing you know, I was taking it apart and planning on how I would mod it! 8-o

i love it!!! i havnt moddes yet, other than purely cosmetic, and find myself fascinated!

today, when pulling my USB charger from my DC adapter, the USB housing cracked open, and I got a good look at the internal workings of the device. seems simple enough. just a couple of wires and some hot glue.
by the looks of it, i can take the connector on the battery (that i screw the atty into), and replace that one with the atty shaped one inside the USB housing. this will allow me to screw the atty directly into the USB charger, then Im only 1 or 2 steps away from a homemade USB pasthrough!!!

next stop, the dollar store, for every USB charger/Battery powered device I can find!

at this point, modding may turn out more addictive then vaping!

I made a variation on the nuck 2000 this week(I'm on vacation :D) and it's cool as all get out. Very easy mod to make too. I only used one battery box that is made to hold 4 AAA batteries. I used 3 AAA's for 4.5v and used the last slot for the connection(901 adapter) and button. Works like a champ and took about an hour to do everything and let the epoxy dry. Thanks, Nuck!
