  • Security and protection. RBC Virtual Visa Debit helps make your online payments safer—RBC provides 24/7 fraud monitoring and Zero Liability which protects you against unauthorized transactions.
  • No annual fee. There is no annual fee to use your Virtual Visa Debit. In addition, RBC Virtual Visa Debit transactions do not count against your monthly debit transaction limit40.
  • Easy money management. It’s simple to manage your money when you shop with RBC Virtual Visa Debit since funds are debited from your RBC Royal Bank banking account at the time of payment41.

just a debit card. unless there is something im missing even with zero liability they can still wipe your account, you just get it back when they know its not you doing it.

a real credit card i think is safer. i would rather they run up a credit total that i can dispute and would never use a direct link to my bank account online. CC or paypal is safer.

just think what would happen if they lock up all your cash in a dispute and you need a car repair and now you cant access your checking account until they put the money back.

Yep. A cheap checking account with a debit card is a great method. I am still bitterly disappointed over PayPal caving to the ANTZ crowd and refusing to allow their system to be used for e-cig related purchases from sites in the US. Their fraud protection is rock solid. Thankfully, their debit card has no such limitations and I either use that card or the debit card that's associated with my "Black Hole" account.

I have a 300$ credit card just for online purchases. If they get me I can do with out it till the dust settles I have to turn down a higher credit limit about once a year I wont it to be small for a reason

I also an account with its own debit card for larger purchases hotels air fair ect.. I keep 50$ in the account and just add to it when I need to use it and only what I need. This account has been hit. The bank issued me a new card with a different number and froze the trans action in question. No big deal.
