I was just hit with an attempt at $2000 worth of charges from India...bank shut it down without paying but a pain in the ... none the less...

I've been using prepay cards for online stuff for about 3yrs just because of this kinda stuff. Only put cash on it when I plan on using it. Has saved my a@@ twice now. First time it saved me was when PlayStation network got hacked, second time was when I sold one of my 360's and didn't wipe my info off of it. Both times it happened I just tossed the card and got a new one

I was hoping this was isolated to one vendor but from the feedback I've been getting from other users, it's not. I am still trying to receive contact from the vendor I ordered from but have not yet. I am definitely going to look into ether the virtual CC numbers or some prepaid type card. It's too bad but better safe than sorry.
