I'm am really not here to knock anyone else also.. In the end the products will speak for themselves I guess... I've recieved many a email that I copied and stole from someone's idea... to be honest its the other way around in a lot of cases.. but in the end it really doesn't matter as ideas can't be stolen, they are just ideas, and it's production that really matters...

Let me preface this with I am not looking to knock other products, but I am curious, how the heck did the GG and Prodigy manage to get all of the buzz over the AdapteveR?

I took three or four weeks off from this forum but before I stopped coming by the AdapteveR was the hottest thing going, now the AdapteveR threads are practically buried and even though they are being sold there wasn't a single review vs 100's of discussions and reviews of the GG and Prodigy.

Personally after reading and watching detailed reviews and strip downs both the GG and Prodigy vs I am quite firmly convinced that the AdapteveR is actually the most elegant design of the three, (the prodigy has a custom button that will inevitably fail, the GG had a serious initial design flaw) but no major love or passionate following.

Is it all about sales volume or are people chasing higher voltage? 3.7 is passe already?

Seems like you might need to sell an middle extension piece to allow 3xCR123's to get some marketing traction WhateveR. Perhaps "11.1V vaping!!!" will get your product the props it deserves.

Hey Whatever,

Can you post a video of the Adaptever? I like the sleek look and love that the button can be replaced easily. I also like the fact that there are no soldering and it look like it is built to last. The only problem I see is the position of the button. I have used the SD before and that is not bad at all to use...but the button on the Adaptever seems recessed. I can't imagine pushing it in all the way with the pinky or the ring finger. Also does the Adaptever have a master on/off switch?

Edo, I have the AdapteR and it's actually easier to push. I also have the Screwdriver so I can compare. The button on the AdapteR actually feels sturdier and it's larger, yet a very, very gentle push is all it takes

I use my little (baby) finger. As for it getting turned on in you pocket, I'd say yes, same as the Screwdriver, that could be a problem. That's why so many are talking about cases I think.

would love to post a video... and I will for sure... for now I'm too imersed in design and production

I would consider doing a video, although I kind of find these things silly when they focus on things like "ooh look at the vapor that this CR123 battery produces! It tastes just so much sweeter and thicker than that produces by this CR123 battery..."

If I did one it would concentrate on the stuff that actually makes the AdapteveR a great device, the design elements e.g. the switch and adapter assembly.

Seeing as WhateveR has specifically avoided providing disassembled device shots as well removed that kind of info from threads I would want a thumbs up from him before doing it....

510 adapter is finished with testing and will start shipping soon... I've decided not to do any kind of pre-order, as I think pre-orders just seem to upset people... stock will be updated very soon with the 510's available for purchase, and more pics of everything... can't promise a date, but it I can say it will NOT be weeks...

I think this works better for everyone, to be able to order and have one in your hand a few days later...

I am sure he accuses WhateveR of copying his design, too. For crying out loud, we are talking about a basic cylindrical battery pack with a switch. On the surface, my comment is shallow as there are many important design decisions to make, but the point is, what is really up his ....? I am sure WhateveR may not want to respond directly, but what do other customers and future customers think about this?

I do not normally like to reduce devices down to their most basic components and purposes as there really are some challenges to making the device funtion properly, sized appropriately and be naturally ergonomic. I cannot justify a $200 expenditure on a Greek made product, regardless of how innovative some think it is. Even if the guy made the devices on a metal lathe system with olive oil and his own blood as a lubricant. I prefer something made in the US, user serviceable with parts a day or two away in the mail and support one email away.

Wait til WhateveR starts making extension tubes so we can run his device with two 3 volt batteries. That will really infuriate Adonis as this is the basic backbone to his upcoming Transformer model. I am sure he will see this as stealing his ideas.

And no, there is not one drop of solder in a GG. It is supposed to be a very well-designed battery pack.

before anyone asks... the support ring is a plastic insulator that seals juice out of the battery compartment and, "supports" the atomizer to make it more stable while it is attached to the AdapteveR...

a little while back, I was upset when someone announced basically the same product that I wanted to make for people... then I really thought about it and decided I just wanted to concentrate on making a product that was durable and worked well...

There are lots of ways to do the same thing... I say let people invent what they want, and others improve upon it if that makes sense... an exact copy is wrong in my book... but the AdapteveR, GG, prodigy, etc... are all a little different and not exact copies of each other...

at the end of the day, its the products that really do what they are supposed to, and do it well that stand out of the crowd... only time will tell if the AdapteveR stands out the way I intend it to...

That was sweet and kind of you. I think the world of Imeo and Steve and yes, you too!! I think all three of you are great, creative inventors and all three of you have great products. I will be having one of each. I have the SD, the AdapteR, the Prodigy is on it's way and I will be in line for the Transformer.

Each device is different and I don't feel the need to compare, it's just me I guess, but still, I think what you wrote says a lot about who you are and I'm truly impressed!
