beating a dead horse, this design is outdated and with the influx of vapers prefering huge clouds, something tells me this will just get lost in the mix....
Provari P3 seems to gather some interest so does Fogger V5 I will buy 1 of these to go with My Authentic Russian not that I do not buy clones I do. I just do not care to be 1 of the 1 million Kayfun Owners. But I have 4 gennies also 1 a hybrid. March to the Beat of a Different Drummer I say

Influx of Vaper perfering huge clouds? I'll wager 90% of Vapers world wide use 2nd gen devices. Its only online they are a Vocal Minority IMO

cool beans. cept the russian wasn't designed for 90% of vapers, since 90% of vapers do not rebuild their own atomizers.

so for the audience that this device was designed for, i believe personally it is an outdated design, the orchid from aethertech was a step in the right direction. this is just a feeble attempt at getting your money all over again.

if the tool less fill hole is what's tickling your fancy, for the $120 bucks or whatever this thing will cost i'd rather simply just make sure my tank is full before i pop out the door.

I am an ex-smoker.

Huge clouds and what is "thoroughly modern" are distant seconds to tweaks and improvements on a proven design.

I saw on Reddit that people think that UCT Russians 2.0s are "behind the times". They claim the "plastic" mid tank and screw on drip tips are outdated. Why don't they use the stainless mid tank included and/or just get the 510 adapter for the drip tip of their choice? Hell, the R91s and older Full Russians I have came with a top cap that accepts ANY drip tip anyways. hmmmm ......

I've seen that huge clouds can be acquired with drippers. No plastic mid tanks on drippers either. I wonder when Reddit will make a statement that today's dripper atty's are outdated?!?

My kayfun clone has that 'revolutionary filling system' and it sucks. Half the time the needle won't go in properly and I doubt it's durable. I think it's obvious that either an erlkoenigin top fill cap or a taifun style fill method is the way to go. One interesting thing phil busardo touched on is the possibility to twist the airflow closed and refill from the top without needing to keep your finger over it. If this is possible and works without flooding or leaking then that's acceptable. I've seen these top caps for the kayfun with 2 holes in them borrowing from the erlkoenigin design - why not just include that? I don't see why they didn't make it nano size. Seems a minor update really but I do prefer the airflow adjustment. Hopefully it doesn't sing like a bird.

I have a good feeling because the official statement from UCT is that the valve accepts any style nipple. That tells me that the ball valve has been done away with. I think it's just an open port that gets sealed when you twist the ring after filling.

I own a Russian 2.0, and I should say I did own the first model. (I also own 2 KFL+ and an EHPro Kayfun clone, all of which I use daily. My original Russian is currently collecting dust due to the fill port gasket failing on it..).

I have mixed feelings about this topper. Phil seemed to give it a good enough review, which is why I sought it in the first place. Fill port seems improved (time will tell) but the airflow control does not seem (to my non-engineer self) to "seal" the air port enough to allow for a top fill cap fill. I might give it a try when I feel like wasting some juice. The airflow itself still seems a little limited, the flavor is in my opinion even a few notches below the EHPro v2 KFL clone. I can't put my thumb on it.. it just seems more muted, and the vapor feels less dense. It's a cool vape and I still get a good flavor from it.. it's just not knock-my-socks off flavor.

Oh, and the issue with the post assembly breaking is a very real design problem..I was super close to doing it myself, even after seeing him make a video about how it can happen.

It's not a bad tank..I just think your money would be better with a KFL+ - even the EHPro one, which is less than half the cost of this one.
