so i've been vaping for a little over a week after 20 years of marlboro menthols, and even with an njoy truck stop starter pack, i've been loving it as well as analog free. well, thanks to poor planning on my part, i ran out of carts today and don't have regular computer access to buy some juice. so i bit the bullet and bought a pack of smokes until tomorrow when i can get some carts at work. i can't believe i used to enjoy these disgusting fingers of foul smelling death. just wanted to let that out.

Best to you, and Welcome to ECF!
Oh, boy I can't even imagine....It's been over 18 months since my last cigarette. Still sticks in my mind how awful it was. Had to go shower and wash my hair. And that was only three hours after my e-cig arrived. Pretty awesome to think about.
I still vape a lot. But I just came in the house after working outside for about three hours, and it occured to me I haven't indulged until I reached for the coffee.
See, still a connection with coffee. And the computer, and the phone, and driving....
fritos1, my 69 year old sister is the only hold-out in my family now. So, know what you mean...geez, she smells awful. Riding in the car with her is truly disgusting, I haven't had the heart to tell her, but have tried hard to get her on an e-cig. Stubborn, she is.
So, sounds like we all have a similar story!!

It will all fall together. You just need to time everything, have plenty of batteries and atomizers and juice on hand, it's a learning curve, but an enjoyable one. Find your "perfect" ecig, and the best juice, and you're all set. I started with an NPRO as well, but refilled my own carts with bulk juice just to avoid having to order all the time. Lots cheaper to refill. I wasn't crazy about their juice, but it worked fine, so can't complain too much.

Look at some kind of modified e-cig for the best battery value and burn time. There are soooo many now, not so much when I started. I did go to the Janty Stick about a year ago, and those are good (small box-style), but depends on the design that pleases you.
The biggest thing is to learn to relax, and if the bases are all covered you can do that pretty easily. Not like you can run down to the corner quick for a pack! But worth it!! I smoked 44 years. Never thought I'd quit smoking til after I quit breathing. And now I am actually breathing!

I've slipped a bit from time to time myself and do find myself wondering how on earth I manage 2 pks a day. And my spidey sense is definitely triggered by even a hint of smoke from across the parking lot (I used to sneak a smoke at work from time to time and thought no one could smell it .......... man that stuff reeks) Easy to understand why the anti's were so insanely opposed to smoking within a mile of them. Now if they could just give vapers a little credit for ditching the smoke that triggered their violent reactions maybe we could vape in peace.

Trying to keep focused on finding my perfect vape and avoiding nasty eliquids that can gag you like a maggot too. Hate it when that nasty taste lingers from a bad batch, but fortunately I've vaped long enough that analogs hurt more than they satisfy.

I haven't smoked in over 4 months and really haven't been around anyone who smokes except my Brother and I'm not usually that close to him to smell him. Today I cut his hair after he had gone outside to smoke and can honestly say although the smell was very strong it didn't bother me nor did it make me want to have one either. I'm trying to convert him, but not sure that will ever happen.

Even though i still smoke about 10 a day (down from 30 per day) whenever i walk near someone smoking i really notice it now.

Tried several models so far and i loved my 510 but batt life sucks. Only about 1-2 hours when they're new. Got a Riva recently and it's a love hate relationship. Batt life is awesome, about 6-10 hours of constant heavy vapin and great vapor. Problem is even though i ordered this from a very well known to this forum supplier, the first 2 batts and charger failed within 72 hours. I got my replacements and 1 batt doesnt work at all and the other the button is nearly flush to the unit (not proper). Also, the fittings screw together funky. They bind several times as you twist'em including to the charger. Not sure if the whole line is like this or just a bad batch.
