The Pila charger--does it or does it not "trickle charge"?

I hate to admit how bad (lazy) I am but here goes.

Been using the pila charger on the same batts for over a year now.
And I have been known to leave the batts in the charger for a few days some times .... Ya I know
They are on the charger overnight almost every day.
Mine always come of at 4.18 according to my meter and there has been no harm to any of my batteries.
Both the IMR and Black Aw both still going strong.

So I have a feeling it either cuts off the charge ...... or if it does some kind of "trickle" it doesn't matter a darn bit.

Oh and ya, the house hasn't burnt down yet either.
As you can tell I'm not the "nervous nellie" type ...... not there is anything wrong with that, its just not how I roll.

I didn't think I was being a "nervous nellie", Tim. It's a subject that's been discussed here before and I thought it was worthwhile to find an answer. Seemed like the thing to do at the time anyway.

I wasn't saying you were, trust me. But they are out there.
It was a good question, and one that I always wondered about so thanks.
