I went to the sight im a curious one . I watched a video on you tube here
Ploom review - YouTube
cause on the sight its not real understandable to me whats inside the pod . I read the FAQS and they last according to what i read 5-10 minutes of vaping then you change it. Cost ? 5.95 for 12 of them .
Well just not for me .
The video fella demonstrates it in action and the fella even uses a method so he does not have to buy the little pods he fill them himself and shows how and says they last 10-15 minutes.
Well and this is only my personal opinion i'll keep vaping the way i have been.

The ECF Wiki has a stub article on the Ploom.. Damn expensive devices, if you ask me, and definitely aimed at those looking for something to consume 'other plant materials not tobacco'.

Interestingly, one of the US distributors for the Iolite device is gotvape.com ( domain created in 2003 for the retailers of MJ vaporizers)...not gotvapeS.com - created in 2005 and who is a well-known vendor here on ECF.

LMAO! Did anyone notice at 5:22 of this video when he shows you what's in the pellet? Lists the ingredients on the box and you'd never guess what's in it. GUESS! GUESS! Give up?

PG/VG and natural flavors!

In the beginning of this video he calls the juice used in ecigs a chemical concoction (sp?) and a cocktail! He then says that some believe the ecig is a tobacco product, other believe it is a new drug and that the Ploom isn't going to have that problem because it uses actual tobacco.

WOW! Really? Yet at 5:22, the ingredients list PG and VG? Seems to me that you just replaced my NIC juice with actual tobacco and replaced my battery with butane. Thank you, but I'll pass...

At 7:26 he actually fills a pellet using PG! Then says you can also use VG...

Hmmmm...an interesting alternative to smoking.

Points:
* Yes it uses tobacco; but (and is stated on the website) uses PG/VG as a carrier/vapor producer

* Not sure about 'catalyzing' butane; but then I have no expertize in that area

* Don't see where the 'expensive' comments are coming from - the unit itself is $40 - vapers seem to have no trouble paying $100+ for a battery holder.
12 'pods' for $6 - if they last as long as 20 cigs (and sounds like in the realm of possible) - then not much difference in price vs smoking; so a more healthy alternative to smoking.

JMHO

Trouble i see with the pods is in there Faq's on there site they say the pods last 5-10 minutes each.
In the video link i posted the guy uses old pods and fills with snus and pg and or vg to moisten and he say they last about
10- to 15 minutes.
For me personally and maybe others it would amount to constant changing of the pod and 12 pods at 6.00 would not last a day .
Errrr but we have options and im very thankful for that !

they last a while and even tho they continue to produce vapor they loose taste after 7-8mins... plus when the device
is left on the butane is constantly keeping the pod hot so your wasting butane if you continue to vape a tasteless pod
