If your going for looks (all DIDs perform well so you can choose any for vapor/flavor/TH) the shortie looks great on there. Only trade off is 2.0ml vs. 3.5ml on the Std (everything else the same).

Up until yesterday, I had an RSST on my Belial. The diameter is perfect, and the finishes match well on the stainless. But I decided to change to a Standard DID. There's just something about the DID/Poldi combo. They look like they belong together.
Hi every one well I pulled the trigger; and ordered a Poldiac with a DID rba. Received the e-mail this morning and it is on the way. Now this is my first high end mechanical mod so I am a little nerves. So I am going ask questions now. I am going to use a (AW) IMR 18650 2000mah battery or should I use something else. Now for the DID can I set it up the same as my AGA 30ga. Wire 3-2 rap it comes in at 1 ohm. Or should I run the ohm higher. So I am going to leave it there for now and say Thanks for any help.
Congrats, you'll love it. AW IMR are great batts and will work really well. I also like the 2900mAh Orbtronic High Drains or for xtreme-LR some folks like MNKE. On building your DID, yes a 2/3 of 30awg will work great (with SS rope or SS Mesh wicks). The DID is damn near indestructible so you can build your setup without worries about the hardware.
You'll love both your Poldi and your DID. I have 2 of each. Personally, I like the AW 18650 1600MaH better than the 2000s. But I use both. I also have 14500 tubes and pants for both of my Poldis, because I like the smaller form factor sometimes. I don't use 18350s on any of my mechanicals.
The 30ga will work fine. Personally, I use 4/3 wraps of 28ga on my DIDs. It comes out to .8 or .9 ohms.

I been eyeballing the Cloud Wizard (the mod, not the member lol) for a while now but I need another mod like I need a hole in the head.

Now I have to get some brass clothes!

Well all I can say is AMEN WOW my new baby is WOW I ordered it on Monday and I am using it right now as I type so here is a pic of my new baby.
My current setup. Picked up a Fluid Flask on the classified. Currently a 18500 with a kick.
I had a standard did for over a year. Lost. It. Loved it full flavor
I have two mini s one Gemini. Hit warmer
I think the did or Gemini look best on poldiac
Never had a short did but if I had to get another one before the hybrids are out I would get one
The quality can't be beat!
