I got a prome on the way now, looks like a sweet piece of kit.
I have a megatron, one of the most impressive vapor machines i have ever used, this thing puts out some of the thickest, heaviest, dense vapor i have ever seen in a standard setup, its so thick I had to go back to one wick so i could keep breathing lol - and still it floods the room in clouds, i dunno how they did it.

a couple reviews on the prome say it is comparable or even better then the mega. had to have it and cant wait............

rofl! Wow, no doubt. lol Out of curiousity I clicked on it. Um... No. Complete fail.

For awhile now I've been thinking about how the Poldiac is built (every time I take it apart to put it in the ultrasonic lol) and thought how difficult it would be to clone this mod because it isn't just a pretty tube with pretty engravings. Real thought went into it. For lack of an eloquent way to say it... It's balanced, simple but complex, extremely unique in build. Of course, the functionality is second to none.

Anywho lol, I agree Thrasher :)

Dig the eGo threading

You know you're doing it right when it's not possible for China to 1:1 counterfeiter your mod. Speaks volumes to us consumers as well.

I'm not saying the Poldi is un-clone-able; what I am saying is if you have the tooling and skilled labor to make a ~ 1:1 it's probably more economical to just produce an original mod.

This clone doesn't bother me in the least. I mean you can call it a Poldiac, but sticking feathers up your .... does not make you a chicken :D

I also looked at the clone on FT.
What a joke!!!!
Some of the China knock-offs a fairly close to the original. You would have to pick it up and look at it fairly close to tell if it were a clone.
But with the Poldiac clone..... you could be sitting 30 feet away and know its not real.
If there were ever a cheap looking knock-off this clone would rank very very high on the list.
I wouldnt even waist my money to see just how bad it is!!! The pictures tell me all I need to know. CCRRRAAAAAPPPPPP!!!!!!

I guess clones exist for some of us, who want it all ....and just can't afford it all ;)

I don't own a Poldiac, however, in my particular case, I'm saving money to get a genuine one by Xmas (I hope). ...anybody said a Xmas promo bundle with the 3 tubes?...eheeeemm! :p

Now seriously, if you love a mod, you try to get it somehow. If eventually the clone serves you, then you might not love it that much after all...

On the note of clones,

Sadly many vapers choose to support the sweatshop owners to screw up the original modders and their families!

You're right, but in one hand, many so called modders just throw you in a straight metal tube with 2 ending caps, an engraved serial number, they only manufacture 100 units and sell for $200. In these cases I understand there's no need to support such modders. There's no added value, these modders just want to make some easy money.

On the other hand, there are awesome mods which are only available for 1 day before they sell out. Only a few units are available and supply/demand curves do not meet. Then, cloners make what people want because the modder can't/does not want to make more units. I guess Penelope attie was the first one to have an almost 1:1 replica. That happened not because it was an expensive RDA, it happened because people wanted a Penelope and the modder (you know who) wouldn't make more units for months.

Poldiacs sell like hot cakes and they give you an amazing design, an exclusive magnetic button, different finishes options and high quality materials. AND...they restock every short periods of time. If they didn't supply units, there would have been a clone a few months ago.

Cheers!

2 mods I can think of that I doubt there will ever be a 1:1 clone of are the Poldiac and the Roller/Dingo. I guess that's 3.... Anyway, the switch design is too unique. China may duplicate the look, but not the switch; at least not in a $25 clone.

Sigelei attempted a roller clone, i believe the best description of it, and its button, is "really dangerous",

I agree! And they probably won't do some of the less popular Pinoy mods like the Launcher, BioMech or the Scud. My first mech was the Astro, which I still have, was cloned and looks pretty dead on.

BTW, is your avatar your Grey? It looks like a male. I am one of those nuts that have 4 Greys. Always fun when the phone rings or the microwave goes off.
