But wholly cow 5 months in the Postal system?

You couldn't file a claim about this?
Get a load of this - it's apparently called a mail loop (it's an out of date picture - it has been sent back to and since left Chicago again since I took the screenshot):
I have contacted Customer Support over a dozen times and they've opened five claims for me, but they keep frustratingly closing them as resolved. I spoke to Consumer Affairs yesterday and opened a claim with them - they haven't called me back yet (they said they would this morning). I've even tried to call the sorting facility in Elk Grove Village that
should send it to my local post office, but they keep sending it back to Chicago instead (I believe because they think it's an international package, although it should now be returned to sender), but their phone never picks up. I called the post office in Elk Grove Village and a nice lady left a message for someone in the sorting facility to try to help me out. We'll see if that helps.
I've spent so much time on the phone with these yahoos - most of the people tell me to just wait a bit and that it will come back to me, but I don't believe them at this point. I'm always hopeful when I see it hit Elk Grove Village via tracking, but as you can see, it keeps getting sent back to Chicago. I may have to drive an hour to the sorting facility the next time that I see it there to try to reclaim it if I can. I had no tracking information on the package from the end of last October to the end of last December, so at least I can now see it move its way back and forth.
Incidentally, the package contains a badly scratched serialized 18350 GP Paps v2.5 SS tube and an upgraded Spheroid v2 base that I rescued from the Classifieds that I sent to VapourArt for refinishing. After I send the package internationally via USPS (never again) VapourArt announced a service where they will pick up your parcel via DHL. I just want to get my stuff back so I can take the DHL route that I wish I had in the first place.
