I survived the grrstore and so did everyone around me. It was getting close at the meat counter though. 2 guys were trying to get the boneless prime for $7.99 because they said that's what it is in Milwaukee. The girl at the counter told them they were over 3 hours north, in Mauston, and the prices are not negotiable. That did not deter them one little bit. Boneless is actually $12.99, bone in is $9.99. They persisted. And wanted it sliced. The manager had to come out to join the fun. Personally I just wanted to smack their stupid heads together. Thinking it probably would be less embarrassing for Mr. V, I decided to just wander past the bins while I waited. Lo and behold there it was, a 5.25# prime for $5.79 per pound. I asked the meat guy when it was cut, yesterday. Woo Hoo! Mine all mine! It's sure more than we need, but the price was right so it will make awesome leftovers. Now if Mr. V could just have Christmas off, I'd be super happy.

I'm growing them in the kitchen so I'll have them all winter. So far so good.
I put up the tree today. As in pulled it out of it's little box, set it on an end table and plugged it in. I'll wrap and put Mr. V's gift next to it while he's still at work. I'll hang the ornament too, yep one ornament that Mr. V made in glass blowing class. Last year it was on the ceiling fan, I'm not sure where I'll hang it this year
No tree here. only Christmas decorations are the 3 stockings for the girls. Yep we got old and lazy.
Of course. Mr. V and I often forget to get each other something, but we never forget Victor. Spoiled little beast that he is.
