He ll of a mess in the turtle pool. Sometime overnight the filter fell off the milk crate and fell in the pool. Media all over the one end and floating. Going to use the pool skimmer on the floating stuff. But will have to climb in to get the Lava rocks. Wading with the turtles.

Yeeks Drott, that does not sound like fun. On the upside, at least the mess is contained inside the pool.
Lowes trip was in order. Got plumbing fittings that should work. Didn't find any of my small pumps, but found the one that has adjustable flow. Of course different size hose and fittings. Starting to wish I'd have done what I did last year. 8 - 18 gallon tubs, water and turtles. Check once a week, add water as needed. What was I thinking this year?

On the bright side. Used the pool skimmer to get the lava rock to the side so I could reach it from outside. My turtles are soo nosey could have been stepped on.

Well I was reminded that the flow adjustment doesn't work on that pump. Soo after numerus trips up and down the steps and trying 4 different pumps. I have one that works for that setup. So I have hoses and pumps all over the place down there. Tomorrow's another day outed the lights and shut the door. Still wondering were my smaller pumps are.
