UV should do the trick Drott. My pond looked like pea soup, starting clearing in about 2 days. By the end of the second week I had crystal clear water.

Arthur, Victor, and I went out and pulled weeds to try to keep the old bones moving. Victor is hobbling on his right back leg, I'm hobbling on my left. What a pair. So both of us old farts are back in for an aspirin break.

Sounds like the shack a bit ago. but turned the AC on and said the he ll with it.

AC in on, Victor is snoring on the couch. I may push him over to one side so I can sit there and snooze. Weeds 1, FV and Victor 0.

Yup, we snuggled and snoozed for a bit. It's pouring out right now, weeds will be easier to pull tomorrow.

I LOVE Strawberry Rhubarb pie, of course now I need to hunt down some rhubarb. Tomorrow is farmer's market, guess I'll go see what they have.

It's going to rain again today, so the weeds can wait. We were out looking at out ancient deck this morning. It's been there over 30 years and just can't be repaired anymore. Now the choice is replace it, or tear it down and just do a patio. Patio would be tons easier to maintain. Decisions, decisions...

There's pros and coms for both. Would the patio be down steps or door level? We like just opening the door and its at the same level. Makes morning coffee easer. But then I don't do steps well. We had it both ways already. It comes down to what works for you. Can always be changed later.

Patio would be down steps. But would eliminate steps to the yard and to the walkway to the garage. Steps aren't my friend either, and Victor has never learned to walk down them he still jumps. I'm leaning patio for ease once we are outside and the less maintenance. It would also be tons cheaper than a new deck. Mr. V can't decide. ack. I am thinking that if we go patio we could put an awning over it, can't do that with the deck.
