She might be bored, but she's learning to be calm and in control of herself. Thundershirts are awesome for dogs that freak out.

I'm bored today. I have bread to bake and hutwork to do, but no get up and go.
So true. Bored here also no energy so just sat MFA in front of the computer all day. Sending Mr. D. for boli.

:lol: I think I found my shock problem. UV bulb arrived today. The one from last year went out right away so I've just been cleaning the filter but never checked the bulb compartment. Apparently, there was a leak in there. Bad part is this filter has 1 plug that operated both the light and pump. The good is the pump and UV sleave come out, so I'll dig up a pump and just put media in the Uv sleave spot.

Yeeks, what a mess! Sure glad you found the problem Drott, and have a fix.

Mr. V is on nights this week and I hate it. Silence all day so I don't wake him up, silence the rest of the time because I don't have anyone to talk to. I caught myself talking to the frogs this morning, not cool.

Was trying to be nice. But it's time for a replacement. Explain to him or better yet show him this post. Just because he's the bread winner doesn't mean you should have nothing warm and cuddly. Shutting up now before what few friends I have get ...... off at me.

No need to shut up, none of us will get pizzed at you. I'm thinking maybe a bunny would be nice. Cuddly and sweet, and I can talk to it all I want. He really does not want a pup, and I think I agree for now. It is nice to be able to come and go as we please, we've never been able to do that before. First kids, then dogs. Though I did point out the pups for sale sign we see on my way to the hut. Now he goes a different route.

Years ago I tried one, it seemed to clog really fast. I like my big box filter, I'll go out and check the brand. Hopefully they make something smaller that would work for you.

Mine is OASE biosmart screenmatic. It's huge and was expensive, but is what I needed for a large koi pond. It's a flow through with filter pads. It sits outside the pond, pump is in a mesh bag at the deepest part (6') of the pond. It goes through the pads then back out a separate line back to the pond. I also run a large UV light, the danner pondmaster. This is the only set up that has kept my pond clean and the water clear, even when it was very fish heavy. Koi are a disaster for water quality, I spent tons of money on other stuff before sucking it up and buying something that would work. It's about the size of a big deck storage box.

I'm sure OASE or someone else makes smaller flow through systems, mine would be a bit of overkill for your pools.

Yes Danner pumps are the only way to go.

Yes but you'll always have a cage to clean. Unless you can litterbox train it. On the other hand, a puppy could go camping. Summers a good time for one.:lol: Or a smaller breed you could just pick up and go with. I must go get some cooking done he's starving.
