Lot update: Mr. V went by the lot again today, it's worse. He went to the courthouse with the pictures and showed them to the woman in charge of the sale. OMG! was the only thing she could say. The guy had promised her that he would clean it up. Obviously she dropped the ball on that. He asked who is responsible for the clean up as there is human waste on the property, creating a hazardous situation. She said she didn't know, and sent him to talk to the county attorney who also freaked out at the pictures. The attorney said it's our problem.
We are going out with shovels on Wed. morning when we are legally the owners. There are pipes going into the ground where he had his trailers. We don't know if he was dumping sewage straight into the ground, or if he has buried a
tank. Either way is illegal. We might have to get the DNR involved if the groundwater is contaminated.
I'm a bit more than pizzed.
Edit: I knew we'd be stuck with the garbage, I'm pizzed because she knew about the sewage and didn't disclose it.
