So far the day started out ok but went down hill fast. Ask hubby if he would ride my bike home from the dealer ship. Well he got about 3 feet and it stalled. He and the bike fell over. So after we got him and the bike picked up. He's ok just bruised. So I decided to ride it. But it wouldn't start and was throwing a code. They took in in and put it on the machine. The starter switches are broken. Not to mention the paint on the break leaver and the muffler.:lol: But hubby's ok that's the important thing. My pristine bike has just lost lots of value. I should have ridden it after I get her going I shift with out the clutch. So it shouldn't have bee too hard on my hands. So I'll know next week at this time what the repair bill to get her running is. I'm having it delivered.:lol:

Wow, Drott. Glad hubby is OK. Hopefully you don't get a high bill.

Our day started with the idea we would go into Lancaster and renew our driver licenses. We wanted to add the Real-ID so had to go in person with all the required documents. Even though I did all my homework on what is required we both failed to leave with Real-ID licenses.

Mine failed because I didn't know the original social security card was issued in two pieces. One that you tear off to use and the other to keep for your records. Apparently, I took the wrong half!

Mrs Punkin just happened to have the correct half of her card but needed to show proof of a change in last name. We took our 40 year old original marriage license with a seal from the courthouse and they said it was no good and we had to go to the current courthouse on Duke street and get an official copy with a raised seal issued by them.

So off we go to downtown Lancaster and found a parking garage several blocks away from the courthouse. Walked to the courthouse and set off the metal detector! Oops, sorry, I forgot to give you my cell phone. There response was insistently, "Sorry NO cell phones are allowed in the building! Take it back to your car NOW!" Crap, we had to walk all the way back to the parking garage to leave our cell phones. And again trek back to the courthouse... The good part was we showed her the marriage license and in less than 5 minutes we were done except to pay the required $10 fee. Heck it cost us $5 to get married at the Justice of the Peace and 40 years later it cost $10 to prove it!

So now we have to drive all the way home for me to pickup the correct half of my social security card. We take off again and head back to Lancaster again with all the proper paperwork. Waited in a line just to get a number on the now serving line. Hours went by and finally we BOTH left there with our shiny new gold star on our renewed drivers licenses. We started this morning around 8:00am and got home at 2:30. :w00t:

Lesson learned: Don't go to the DMV/PennDot on a Tuesday after a Holiday. :)

Wow, everyone so far has had a craptastic day. Mine took a detour to an urgent care for my BP. It's never been high but today for no reason I felt dizzy, lightheaded, and confused. (more than usual, lol) It was bad enough that I asked Mr. V to drive me to the clinic. I called ours first and they said that they have a new system and I'm no longer in it. So they refused to check me out, even if I came in and re-registered. *sigh* So off to the urgent care 25 miles away. They had no problem checking me out, for free. I'm home with instructions and a follow up coming. ugh.

Mr. V has real ID, I don't. I didn't know about it when I renewed, so didn't have stuff with me.

Haven't decided yet if I'm getting one. Don't plan on flying cant see myself waiting hours at an airport to board a plane. My furthest relative is only a 10 hr drive away.
I won't bother to get it as I have zero intentions on ever flying again. I'd rather drive and sight see on the way.

I thought the same thing. But you never know if some day something happens that you want/need to fly so I figured for a one time fee of $30 I would just get it. All renewals after that are the same cost as a regular license.

Guess I'll do a few delivery's today. Since I'm looking at a sizable Bike bill. Tonight I'm rescuing a 15 year old Red Ear slider. By the pic it looks like he she didn't have the correct lighting. First one I've seen with what looks like wrinkled shell. The 2 Cooters rescued last year had white shells. One has all but 2 shuts back to normal color. The other one is partway there. Wish people realized when kept indoors they need at least 14 hours of UV lighting a day. Rant over.

Can't quite like this, but I'm really glad that you rescue the poor critters.

Trying the Chi Chi's Long Island Iced Tea. Its on sale. Unless I spend and get the Captain Morgan's. We used Montebello Long Island Iced Tea when I use to tend bar. But can't remember if it was any good.
I'll be waiting to hear how you liked it. That would add something to my Saturday evening cocktail event. This weekend I have a request for my blue margaritas, but I'm wanting frozen Mojitos. Decisions, decisions.....
