Good afternoon! The show was fun last night, it was good to get out. The next one is in April.

Chicken pot pie on the menu tonight.

Not sure on the temp right now, we do have some snow melting which I really need. Mr. V didn't put the slides in on the camper, so we need the snow off of them to be able to pull them in. sheesh.

Playing outside. Electric cord strung up in the air to the chick run for the water. Yet another patch on the coop run. outside filters drained.In the basement lights hooked up and on the timer. All little sh it I've been putting off.

I feel sorry for my roomie. A friend of his posted on FB about him, in a local community thread. Now he is an unwilling subject of donations. He is quite embarrassed about the whole thing. Hopefully it ends well.

Sounds like you're all set Drott! I'm not.

Bamrz, I'd be embarrassed too. Hoping it turns out okay for him. If he doesn't really want the cash, he could donate it to a local cause.

I also would be embarrassed. But When your down and out sometimes it doesn't hurt to get help to get back on track. I do think its wrong posting it on FB. I've helped several people but not publicly.

Good morning. Chilly and sunny, I'm so happy that it's not gloomy that I don't care about the cold.

The girl that posted it on FB was just trying to help. She's known him for a long time, and was upset that people thought he was pan handling (he does not) at the Wawa. He goes there in the wee hours, buys a cup of tea, and socializes with people he knows, and some he doesn't know.

He's had the police called on him a few times because he doesn't fit people's idea of "normal". He has long hair, rides a bicycle, and will chat with you for an hour about all the poisons in our food and things like that. He's odd, but very nice, and harmless.

Sadly, her FB post was misconstrued, and she was overwhelmed by the people wanting to "reach out and help". I've actually joined the group just to let him know what's going on. Apparently, there is a donation day set up at the firehouse this coming weekend, 9-12. I told him so he could avoid it if he chooses to.

Grrrr store trip was OK but too crowded. They gave us a 5% discount on our bill for Veterans day. We went to the beer distributor to pick up a couple of cases of beer and I asked the guy, "no Veterans discount today?" His response was, " we have a 10% discount for vets every day!" Wow, I now get a discount EVERY time I buy beer ! Today was a good day even though we had to do leaves again. I should have bought a mulching mower...

We never go for the free meals. I figure there are those that truly need it and we certainly don't. Now discount on beer, well, I'll certainly take advantage of that one! Now if only I could find a PA liquor store that gave a discount...
