Hubbys birthday is today. No steak this year. He seen the price when we were at the store and said I should skip it this year. So, I'll make him some peanut butter fudge.
Well we are back! Five hours of sitting around doing nothing. Mrs Punkin had a real excuse if she got selected for a jury but never had the need to use it. They had so many candidates to chose from that she didn't get selected. The good news is she is officially done and doesn't have to go back tomorrow BUT the bad news is since she didn't get selected instead of 3 years before she could get called again it is now only one year. What a bunch of crap! 
My youngest sister had to be on a jury. She was not impressed with having to get a sitter, driving and trying to park downtown, etc. When it was over she had a completely different attitude about it. She felt good having helped put away someone that had done horrific things to a small child.
Just got off the phone with the vet, Victor's now on a lower dose of his meds because he's doing so well. We're hoping that he can just stay on the low dose, next few days will tell. He is doing so much better. 
Cheese burger subs. Did make a big pot of turkey vegetable soup. Slow cooked it all day but keeping it for tomorrow letting the flavors mingle. Soups always better the next day. IMO
Leftover chicken teriyaki. I made sure to cook enough for two meals when I made it. Mr. V likes leftovers, that's a big win for me.
Vet office reminded me that we're only making him more functional/comfortable, this isn't a cure. Yep, I know that, just don't want him suffering. Dogs should live as long as their people IMHO.
He's been dry all day. Woo Hoo!!!! Only did one load of wash today.

Turkey vegetable soup. It's smelling really good. I bought a clock on Tuesday for 50. from my sister's brother. He was afraid that if and when he had to go in a home or hospice someone would steal it. Hubby wasn't happy but it was my money. Picked it up today it's in perfect condition. Turnes out to be a SEIKO Melodies in Motion 2007 Collector's Edition w/ Swarovski Crystals. Valued at 6 x what I payed.
I need to get a vat of soup going, it's been awhile. Thanks for reminding me!

I'm a sucker for clocks. Have most of the clocks from my Grams. Can't beat the old wind ups. He needed the money. So, I was writing it off as a donation and something to remember him by. I thought it was just one of the cheapies that plays music from k-mart. It is battery operated though.
