Our electric has been going up, but we're still doing better than our neighbor that switched to propane last year. His bill has tripled, mine went up about $100/month.

Solar is useless here. We do have some big solar places in more open areas, they fry birds at an alarming rate so I'll pass.

Fed Ex delivered my roll of quilt batting today. It's people sized so I'm putting it in the bed all covered up to freak out Mr. V when he tiptoes in late tonight to sneak quietly into bed. Bwahahaha!

They were really glad to be out after 7 months in the basement with just a uvb light and filter running 8 hrs a day.

I planned on cutting the grass today but the yard man came this morning and put down pre-emergent/fertilizer and sprayed for weeds. He said, "don't cut the grass for 24 hours so the weed killer can be absorbed." Oh well, I guess I'll find something else to do.

Recipe for making hay:
1: Don't cut grass when it needs cutting.
2: Apply fertilizer.
3: Rain for the next two days.
4: Wait until yard is dry before mowing.
