I'm sure I'll still need to turn it on at night for awhile, but I'm loving having the windows open today.
I won the latest round with the quilting machine, hoping to get at least one finished this week. *fingers crossed it doesn't screw up a quilt*

Fried chicken and potato salad. Just hit 90 out there, I think I can safely say that summer has finally arrived to hutsville. Went from heat one day to a fan the next. 
Roasted outside getting the jump on ants this year. Mr. V raked under the rv, and we put a terro everywhere it touches the ground. I think we were just in time, Mr. V spotted ants near the landing gear. Rotten things. ugh. We were half done going around the house before we decided that heat stroke probably wasn't a good way to start the summer. We'll finish tomorrow.
Good morning. 70 so far, just closing up the hut to try to keep it a bit cooler. Finishing up with the terro this morning, then I might do my weekly quilt block.
The hummingbirds are back! They were looking in the patio door as I walked past. When I went out not 2 minutes later with the feeders they were zooming all around me. They must be starved from the long trip. While I was out there I spotted an oriole, so that feeder is out now too. The hummies are my little pals, I'm so happy to see them.

We tried the granules, it rained almost immediately. ack. These last longer, there's a window so you can pick it up and see how much liquid is left inside. I sat and watched a line of ants going in, out and back to the nest. Within a few weeks they were gone. I do keep it out til the first freeze just to be on the safe side.
