Thinking about the other dog being trained with Gertie. I'm thinking they might have a situation like Elwood and Jake. If I had sent them out for training, they could have walked Jake using a noodle for a leash. All you had to do to correct him was scowl and it would hurt his feelings. Elwood would have been double leashed and wearing a muzzle, and red tag. He was a handful to train, and took everything as a personal challenge. If you glared at him, he glared back. They only had a 6 mo. age difference, so it wasn't anything we did that made them so different, they just had their own personalities.

Gertie at our Trainer’s Meeting. Being well behaved while doing Anchor the Dog around many other dogs. She just laid there, never lunged, barked, or growled.

Hooray Gertie! That's a big step forward. Hopefully she's understanding the calm/submissive thing now.

My machine is back on the move, it's in MS now. Sheesh, best be in one piece when it finally gets here or I will refuse it.

Good morning. Rained all night last night, still raining, no end in sight. My machine is supposed to deliver today, left the garage door open for him in the hopes he'll put it in there. *fingers crossed*

Mr. Raccoon also pulled the plastic flowers off a hummingbird feeder and drank all the sugar water. Last night I was out in the rain with a flashlight finding the flowers in a bunch of ferns. grrrrr.

Reminding you to tell the Dr. how he's always cold.

Out n about practicing ignoring people and remaining calmmmmmm. If a big goal is to have her go out with you to dog friendly places, I would do this atleast 5x a week. Even if it’s a quick trip to the park. We want her to continue building upon her confidence. I don’t allow anyone to come up to her to say hello or pet her. She is not the type of gal who enjoys that.

My machine has a delivery exception, it's in IL. Two small boxes did show up today, handles and one rail of the frame. The rest of the frame is on a truck driving around the area, supposedly arriving today. It does figure that the BIG expensive part of the shipment has the exception. I hate FedEx.
