Doing little stuff today. Covered the AC, not happy with how it looks the replacement AC is more btu but smaller in size. 3 lb. of polish sausage cut up and, in the brim, making pickled hot sausage. like the ones in the glass jars in the bars, clubs.

Not sure what Walmart's doing. Ordered a toy for Gertie it was delayed 2x on the second delay I canceled it. Received an email from Walmart and one from the seller confirming that it was canceled. Well, it arrived last night. Now I get to try to get them to take it back. Fun since it shows canceled and refund was issued on my account.

Anyone makes jerky out of ground beef? got a cure and seasoning mix with my dehydrator. I usually use one of those tuff cuts of beef.
Never tried ground beef jerky, always used London broil when it was on sale. I wanted a cut with not much fat.

Yes, I've made jerky with ground beef, works fine. Just make sure it's lean, and blot any fat off as you go. I use ground pork for it a lot.

Walmart is downright silly about the online return thing. I have a curtain rod here, I sent it back as it was the wrong size. Walmart gave me credit and a UPS pick up. All was fine for a week and it showed back up on the porch. I kept trying to return it for about 2 weeks and they told me it was already returned so I gave up. Just keep the toy or you'll just get frustrated.

Thank you Good to know I put a batch in a few hours ago just to see. Was only 85% though. Ground pork sounds good Spicy breakfast type. Read that you can dehydrate without seasoning for the pups.

Pork loin is reasonably priced for now. Have one in the freezer. Will try that next.
That's why I use it, always cheaper than beef. It takes the seasoning really well.

Mr. V just called, he has to work on Sat. So he moved the pizza party to Sunday. I had plans for Sunday. :grr:
