The Purfumers Apprentice Tobacco's recipes, By Me.

Hi all,
I have been saying for a while that I will add up some of my recipes and finally I have gotten a sec to pop them up. They all use TPA flavours as that is what our guys sell here in New Zealand and as yet I have found no need to look at others as these are great flavours (IMO)

Anyway, some are from my early mixing days so if you do try any of my recipes and find they are no good, please post your feed back to warn others it is a stinker lol:facepalm:, and the same if it is a goodie:banana: It is always much easier to go off many opinions than just 1. I will try to give a brief description of what I thought when I vaped each one, but you are the best judge of what you like so use your digression.

All my flavours are 20% of my final mix, and the amounts here can be made up with a nic base or non nic base to suit your preference. You can use the online calculator to work out your nic and base according to what you use. I work on 20 drips equal 1ml, and the amount that you can make up from the following is 10ml final mix.

Mix No 6.
tobacco blend 27 drips
Smooth tobacco 5 drips
Marley Bro 1 drip
Sweetener 7 drips
this one is a sweet smooth mix that I found was a great all day vape. Mild flavours with just a tiny hint of the marleybro coming through. For anyone like myself who does not particularly care for the marleybro flavour, don't wory, there is so little in this mix that it just sets of some of the flavours in the other ingredients with out giving you that overpowering hit of flavour.

Mix No 8.
This one is a bit harsher than some of my other flavours but it is a good one after a long hard day and you want a strong hit. It does not have a complicated flavour going on, but I really enjoyed it for when my taste of my daily flavour dropped off on me. (A great tip if you find this mix just too strong for you is mix both mix 6 and 8 together to get mix 68 and you will have the best of both worlds and it tames mix 8 to a point where it is happily a daily vape).

Tobacco Blend 30 drips
Flue cured tobacco 4 drips
Sweetner 10 drips

And lastly is the flavour I am vaping at the moment...

Mix No 9.
This baby is not to every tobacco vapers taste. It is starting to head away from the strictly tobacco and getting more in to the sweeties. I am finding that I am craving the sweet stuff at the moment, but it does still have enough of the tobacco-ness to keep me happy on both counts. So if you do not like sweet, this one is NOT for you, but if you are up for a yummy treat, give it a crack.

Tobacco Blend 13 drips
Flue cured tobacco 3 drips
Smooth tobacco 3 drips
Marley Bro 1 drip
Sweetner 20 drips

Anyway that is a few :) Enjoy

Looks good.. I'll have to try some of them. I use a lot of TPA stuff so I think I have all that. I found that some of the dessert flavors can really round out mixes. Also, I LOOOOVE Desert ship from Flavor west, but im unsure if you can get that where you are... its a great harsh tobacco base.. use sparingly, none of this 10% stuff.. maybe 10-15 drops in 10ml.. lol

Hi crashtest22 I buy all my flavours from Naked Vapour - Welcome to Naked Vapour here in New Zealand, and as I understand it they are TPA flavour concentrates, however the Marley Bro is a play on words as here they can not use Marlbro as a flavour name due to our copywrite laws, and the Flue Cured, I am not sure, I will email Rob at NV and ask him for you, maybe it is a mix of concentrate flavours or something. Anyway will get back to you if or when I get an answer :)

Thanks everyone for the great response, please let me know what you think! I am doing some more mixing today at some stage so if I get a good one I will add it up here too.

10 ML M TYPE (MARLBORO) PREMIUM FLAVOR (TPA) I am guessing would be the Marly Bro, but i have not heard back yet from NV. When I do I will post it.

I have just made another flavour that i really am liking, it is the same 20% flavour (your choice of base) and it is another slightly sweet flavour but not as sweet as Mix No 9. Keeping in mind it has not matured yet as I just made it so the flavours will become more bold, but it is a really moreish flavour that keeps you wanting more. Not as sharp on the throat as the last ones (but we'll see in the next day or so) and I am vaping it higher than the last (nearly 4 instead of my usual 3.4 - 3.8) again that may change as it matures. Anyway here it is ... enjoy :)

Mix No 10
Tobacco Blend 19 drips
Flue cured Tobacco 5 drips
DK tobacco 1 drip
Sweetner 15 drips (if you want it sweeter just add in a couple extra drips of sweetner)

well just made 2 batches of 10 ml with about 6mg nic
as fallows have not tired yet may let steep for a day or two.

7ml of pg with nic in both
1ml vg in both
.5 black honey
.5 M-Type
.3 Tobacco blend in alc
.2 sweet
.2 smooth

second one
1.0 maxx blend not TPA
.5 Black Honey
.5 ethyl matol
3 drops mts vape
will report back after I try em

Good stuff! I have to say though I was not personally fond of the black honey, it has a perfumey note to it that I cant handle, but the mixes I made with it may have just had too much of it in there so it has put me off a little, and it takes me a while to get brave enough to try ones that have turned out bad in the past LOL, but I like the ethyl matol added into your second, that is why I use the tobacco blend in many of my mixes cause it is a mix of absolute tobacco and ethyl matol, and I love that flavour, not too strong and for me the perfect base. I am waiting on a couple of foodie flavours to arrive so will pop up some tobacco foodies once I have some good ones. I cant wait to see how your mixes turn out, I have found that my one I made this morning has grown up a bit now and I am really enjoying it, it was an accident cause i ran out of smooth so put a drip of DK in instead but to my pleasant surprise ... its good. Anyway let me know how goes :)

Yeah I think that was the same mistake I made with my first ones, I used too much of the really strong flavours all together thinking that 20% was some hard and fast rule, but it really depends on the flavour concentrate itself, and if it is a strong note or a light one. The Tobacco blend I use alot cause it is really subtle and lends itself well to other flavours, infact it is really the only one that I find I can use at larger amounts, where as the likes of Flue and DK and Mtype even Black honey, they are all ones that I'd only use a drip or 2 just to give the hint of them. I am actually looking for another flavour that makes a good base that is not perfumey to try, and am thinking that I may have to get some of the other brands in from the US. Cause I am liking things sweet these days I am finding I use my sweetner to boost the flavours cause it seems to work as a sweetner and an enhancer which is a nice bonus. Anyway if you want to try something with your black honey, why don't you use a base of Tobacco Blend and add in just a bit of the black honey with some sweetner.

Oh and for your mixes I would add VG cause that won't enhance the flavours you have there any more it will just increase your vapour, where as if you put more PG it is used to enhance flavours and you obviously don't want that. :)

Yeah I am going to play around with them more.
TPA makes a sweetener and Ethyl Maltol which is also a sweetener.
I would try some of the Flavor Art ones. I have Dark Vapure, Cowboy, Maxx-Blend, 7 leaves ultimate, and the MTS vape wizard.
all are good.
I am going to try some of the maxx with less of the black honey and see what happens.

Sounds good, I am thinking about trying some of the flavours that ecigexpress sell, but picking what I want is horrific, there are so many and the various brands all have a variation of the same! I am indecisive enough as it is, and I find myself adding to my cart then going through and taking them off again lol, I think if there was a shop that I could go into and choose I'd be better, but sitting online it works out the $'s I am spending and with exchange rate it just keeps going up with the final sting being shipping. For now I am happy with what i have and am branching out into TPA TFA foodies at the moment so that will keep me out of trouble for a bit LOL.

Still super keen to hear how your mixes taste!
