You can use a green clay mask once or twice a week to help draw out the toxins and then use witch hazel to wipe your face down with a couple of times a day. It has some antibacterial properties in it but won't dry out your skin. Thyme and tea tree essential oils will help dry the zits up. Just dab a bit on at night. I would skip using any OTC acne products and don't use any scrubs, this will only make things worse. If you need to wear make up use a mineral based make up that you can apply using a soft brush.

Hope it gets better for you soon.

wow that is seriously interesting. mites. hey its possible. those things are everywhere. will have tp try that.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but after reading the symptoms and truly, after trying EVERYTHING else, I thought, "Why not give it a shot?" My skin is completely clear now, with the exception of one nasty bugger on my jawline.

But again, if you do try the Ponds (with sodium borate...very important!! Get generic if you must...like I did at the Family Dollar) you will--and I mean WILL--break out badly for about a week and a half, maybe two weeks. Then, it clears up very quickly after that. The nice thing about cold cream is that it doesn't dry your face out like acne creams have...in fact, it has taken a few years off of my face! Nice added bonus! ;)

I have treated mine by just washing up often. Every time I wash my hands I wet my face too. Not a solution for everybody, but it has worked for me.

You body misses it's horrible toxins and wants them back. It's going to get better though just takes a bit of time.

You're lucky, Who! Washing has not worked for me in the least. In fact, when I washed my face too much, it got dry and more pimples came out. Also, keep in mind that women have more to deal with as far as hormonal fluctuations as so on.

And I agree with you wholeheartedly on the "toxin" bit. It took me a good five to six months to start feeling good, and I know it's because I was purging toxins.

good to hear pheisty. i have to put that on my shopping list and will have to try that. my face has healed up a bit. but it seems to be breaking out again. doesnt seem like its as bad... well not yet..... there has to be an answer. and u are right about drying ur skin out etc...... just adds to the fun hugh

Yes, dry skin with zits = No fun at all

The cool thing about the cold cream is that it makes the zits you do have come out easier, so then they heal more quickly. Sounds gross, but zits aren't exactly the sexiest thing in the world to discuss, anyhow.

So definitely try it. My face is now completely clear and because I've quit smoking for seven months, my skin is glowing. I've been getting all kinds of compliments and I feel SO MUCH better about myself. Finally I feel like I wanted to feel when I first quit smoking! :) Please keep me posted on your progress, Dinky!

pheisty... no luck on the ponds or generic...... doesnt have the good stuff in it. been reading the labels and so far no luck

Hmmm.... Do you have Family Dollar or Dollar General stores in PA? That's where I got mine. Otherwise, Jergen's makes some that's called, "Jergen's All-Purpose Face Cream" that's in a pink tub. I got it all Walmart, and that has Sodium Borate in it.

My face is completely clear, now. Unbelievable. I wish I had known about this simple solution six months ago.

If you can't find it, let me know and I'll send you some of my stuff (I'm now stockpiling it! LOL)

You're looking for Sodium Borate in the ingredients. But, failing that, you can make your own. I may be doing this from now on (I like making my own stuff).

Make Your Own Cold cream

I make a lot of my own stuff. I will have to add this to the line up.. I have everything for it :)
