The Russian 91 has the screw on the bottom to fill... But the Russian (not 91) has a fill hole that you use a needle/plastic bottle to fill liquid. The full version Russian doesn't fill from the bottom.

What I'm referring to is the Russian (white box) -- not the Russian 91% (black box). There are not any screws on the bottom of the base. On the side of the base is the air hole and its' corresponding adjustment screw and across from that (so to speak) is what I am referring to. (I need to get a battery for my dig. camera so I can post a pic of this.)
Do I need to use the bottle and metal needle cap to fill? Is there concern about the valve failing with use? I have no problem (other than not being able to get more juice in) filling from the top. I'd like to use the bottom fill to see if I can get more juice in, but do not want to have problems if the valve or whatever I should call it begins to go down the chutes on me.

The day my HCigar clone arrived I tried filling via the fill port but the juice just ran back out of it (on my full sized Russian it works as it should) I then filled from the top and the same thing happened...juice poured out the fill hole. I grabbed a toothpick and jammed it in the juice hole on the lower deck and snapped it off. With the other end of the toothpick I jammed it in some more. No more leaking.

I consider myself lucky in terms of filling the Russian. So far only minor leaks from the drip tip when I go to refill during the flipping stage, and I am figuring that those few drips have accumulated over time -- perhaps condensation?? It is a juice machine.... seems like I'm going through juice at 2X what I used to....LOL. I don't mind because it is such a great tasting vape and so easy to coil and wick.
Think I'm going to leave the fill port alone since I can't find any info on how to deal with problems if it does fail on me. I don't understand why a mfg. would put something on a rebuildable that can't be repaired by the consumer.

My trials and tribulations with my second Hcigar. With the first one filling from the fill hole with a needle tip worked every time, a piece of cake.
With this second Hcigar which has been thoroughly cleaned I have problems. Filling using the fill hole no longer works. I can feel the valve with a slight amount of play in it but both my needle tip on the juice bottle and a very small sarenege will not work. Juice just pours out. Then I filled from the top with no flooding and some juice ran out of the fill hole. I let the tank settle and it still dribbles out a little. Tank has settled and so far the fill hole is not leaking. Only time will tell if its a permanent leak.
1. I really don't want to plug it up (the fill hole) because I love the increased juice capacity and it's such a clean and easy way to fill. Does anyone know how to lubricate or loosen the valve on the fill hole? First round on me PLEASE!
2. This might sound like I have lost my marbles but I found a very small O ring lying in my juice station. Not the top cap o ring. Just large enough so it's a little larger than the included Phillips head. Does the fill hole have an O ring? If so, how the heck did I manage to remove it? Second round on me with some female entertainment. / lol PLEASE

They have small mtank replacements at Vape Rev right now. I got a brass nano and quartz glass nano comin in the mail soon. Can't wait
SeniorBoy -- You have hit on my concerns about the fill valve, even though we have different types of the Russian. Mine does not have a screw and/or O-ring. I do not want to use the fill valve if there is a chance of it going out on me and then I'm faced with having to plug it up. I would hate to do that. I'd love to find out if the valve can be fixed if a problem does arise without having to send it off to the hinterlands.
Sort of a shame there is not more info about the valves. The valve is a nice feature of the Russian that I'm leery of using.

Anyone else vape unicorn blood in a R91% WITH the plastic tank section? I heard that unicorn blood will destroy plastic tanks.
Ran several tanks of unicorn blood through with no problems, but no long term use.....
I got so friggin frustrated with the fill valve on my second Hcigar I kept pocking and pushing and testing but no luck. It kept leaking on an intermittent basis and could not be used to fill. Please study this pic and see what fell out while I was cleaning it. More an accident to be honest:

What's in the lower left corner of the pic? Is it part of the filling set up? I'm don't understand what holds the ball in place that rides on the spring. I'm assuming (hate to use that word) that you press on the ball till it comes to a channel that allows you to inject the juice?

Stay away from the EHPro, Tobego or any other clone of a clones. You don't know what kind of materials is going into the internals and I've seen a few end up with rust in their tanks. Not really worth saving money if you sacrifice your health, which is the main reason to stop smoking and start vaping in the first place. Anyways.....

Ball-Spring-Screw. Screw adds tension to the spring which presses the ball into the fill hole which then seals it.

Stay away from the EHPro, Tobego or any other clone of a clones. You don't know what kind of materials is going into the internals and I've seen a few end up with rust in their tanks. Not really worth saving money if you sacrifice your health, which is the main reason to stop smoking and start vaping in the first place. Anyways.....

What's the ID and # of wraps on that? I'm trying to stay above .7ohm and I've been meaning to try out a parallel coil. It looks like a 5/64(2mm) but im hoping its 1/16(1.6mm) as i like coils below 2mm

I can't speak for all the clones, but can for the Tobeco.
They don't have a stellar track record with clones, but got it right with the Kayfun clone.
The build and vape are nearly identical to the original.
I'm curious as to how you get your wick to lay properly with the coils off center?
I'd probably choke if I sub ohmed on my Russian considering the vape I get on 1.5 ohms
