What do you mean needed a prime? I have a box of TW 4075 atomizers here and only used one so far. I have been blowing out the primer fluid first and then dropping 4-5 drops to start with. Is that what you are talking about?
there is no such things as primer fluid its just fluid.. it might not be the taste some like but its just fluid.. so you are blowing out some fluid put in by the factory and replacing it with some other fluid..
an atomizer needs to be full of fluid before it will work.. some of them lose the initial factory filled fluid (prime) and it simply need it replacing.. four or five drops is about the amount they hold..
the carts job is to simply keep the wirewool in the atomizer topped up and wet enough to work.. if the atomizer dosnt have enough in it when its first used it wont work very well.. pretty much like an empty cart will work..
most come with enough fluid in them from the factory some dont..
we test hundreds of the things i on a regular basis.... they are pretty reliable.. its rare to find a dud one..
which is why i find the story in the review with the guy having two that didnt work very hard to believe..
the instructions and problem finding sheets that come with a screwdriver.

Please read.. topping up is required for best results.. the instructions are as important as the device itself .. thank you
How to take care of and get the best results from your Screwdriver..
The liquid in the carts isnt the same as the topping up liquid.. . its standard 18 mg stuff.. the topping up liquid is 24 mg flue cured.. the stuff we use ourselves.... the deluxe kit has 36 mg wicked liquid.. french pipe flavour..
Smoke the cart for a short while then top up the cart with liquid.. its important not to let the cart get too dry.. more vapour is produced when things are kept wet-ish.. a cart can be reused several times.. they do not need replacing every time..simply top them up (three or four drop intervals is best) from the bottle when needed and after a couple of days or so use a new cart.. if the cart is overfilled a nasty taste in the mouth will be the result.. wet but not too wet.. it soon comes with a little practice.. Direct dripping into the atomizer is likely to flood the device and produce poor results
Try not to hold the button pressed for too long.. a five or six second press combined with a steady draw should be enough.. excessive button pressing may shorten the atomizer life..
Screw the atomizer into the device firmly but not too firmly.. good electrical contact needs to be made but excessive force can damage the device..
Excessive tightening can damage the soft insulation grommets in both atomizer and Screwdriver..
Keep the electrical contacts clean.. e liquid is inherently greasy.. it builds up.. clean the points where the atomizer screws into the device when needed and give the battery ends the odd wipe.. also give the threads that join the two body halves a wipe from time to time..
There is no need to fully run down the batteries between charges.. a full charge may take up to six hours (green light state) the battery will be 90% charged after about three hours.. the battery run time is several hours depending on use.. when the vapour drops off the battery needs a recharge.. pop them on charge when it suits you.. when the charge is complete the light turns green.. remove the battery.. have a fresh one ready for use.. we advise not to leave them unattended on charge overnight as a regular practice.. lithium batteries need treating with care.. the batteries are shipped charged ready for use.. insert fresh batteries positive terminal towards the atomizer or spring....
We consider atomizers disposable items.. again depending on use they need regular replacement.. we think two weeks heavy use is a maximum.. after that the performance drops off.. this is up to the user but dont expect them to last for ever they wont.. the only way to maintain as new performance is to replace them.. two weeks is an estimate.. with lighter use they can last longer. with really heavy use they may not last as long..
Any problems with obtaining consumables or with the device itself let us know..
We hope u enjoy using the screwdriver.. and it works for you..

problem solving..
Nothing happens at all when the switch is pressed and a draw is taken.. no vapour at all..
dead flat battery.. pop a new freshly charged one in and see what happens..
bad electrical contacts.. check things are screwed together properly.. atomizer in the device body and the two halves of the body.. also check for greasy electrical contacts.. where the atomizer screws into the device.. the body joining threads and the battery ends and contacts.. clean things..
dead atomizer.. try another one..

lack of vapour poor performance but something happens when drawn..
Atomizer flooded.. blow the excess fluid out from the brass threaded end.. blow hard thru the atomizer..
low battery.. fit freshly charged one..
cart needs topping up..
atomizer past its best.. fit another one..
poor quality fluid being used.. try an alternative type..
###
nasty burnt taste when drawing the vapour..
pressing the switch for too long.. or the atomizer is too dry.. top up the cart more frequently..

problem solving diagnostics is mostly about swapping out.. if things are not working correctly pop in a known to be good spare part.. always have some spare parts handy..
e liquid comes in many different tastes and strengths.. we like the flue cured 24 mg stuff shipped with the screwdriver.. you might not.. suck it and see is the only answer here.. try different flavours and strengths..

good luck with your e smoking..
Addition... The factory prime.. when an atomizer leaves the factory it is primed with about six drops of liquid... the atomizer will not work without this prime... when new if poor vapour is a problem make sure the atomizer is primed.. put up to five drops of liquid into the atomizer end.. once there this prime should not go away..
Battery or electrical atomizer test.. remove the cart.. look down into the end of the atomizer.. press the switch for about five seconds.. a positive red glow should be seen around the atomizer bottom... if the glow is there the electical side of things is okay.. any vapour problems will be lack of liquid.. reprime the atomizer... warning... too much liquid can also cause the coil not to glow and poor performance.. blow out or drain the excess fluid from the atomizer..
