I hate to be this guy, but, judging by a quick glance, at least 75% of the question threads on the front page have already been thoroughly answered.

Asking previously solved questions causes clutter in the forum and makes it more difficult for people with questions that have not already been addressed to receive the answers they are looking for.

I implore you, please use the search option before posting your questions. It will make this forum more navigable and more readable for all of us.

Thank you, and vape on.

Sometimes the answers change :) Yea, I'm sorry too.

You're right, I should back down. Once I saw someone ask why they're bottle isn't pushing juice, and someone responded that they need to hold the squonk bottle with their thumb. A week later, someone asked the same question, but someone responded that they need to hold the squonk bottle with their finger.

Definitely an invalid thread I made here.

This is the exact opposite of what Reoville is all about. I'll keep encouraging new members to ask whatever they want and make them feel welcome.

I know it's an inconvenience for you to read more but come on.

So Reoville is about redundancy and a lack of knowledge regarding standard forum procedures? News to me. Why don't you instead encourage users to utilize the boundless plethora of information which can easily be located using the search tool?

Search function a PITA……I don't mind 6 threads on the SO kit. Keeps me entertained. I can't imaging there is a single question that has not been asked/answered but finding it can take forever. I have learned to bookmark things as I see them for reference later. Maybe I need a lesson on how to better use the search function myself.

How boring would it be to never see a question from someone excited. If everyone just sat around and searched for their answer it would detract from environment and friendliness of REOville.

I'm with you 100% RattlerX! The friendliness and helpfulness of all the Reonauts is bar none.

This is the first negative post I've seen on this sub-forum since I joined Reoville. If you are truly bothered by the similar posts why are you still here?

It would put Karen (nerak) out of business! Besides, we all take a newbie question thread as an opportunity to get to know the new person and welcome him/her to Reoville. Those who are already Reonauts and who ask questions for which there are answers available probably want to participate in a discussion of the topic. Things change fast in the vaping world. The answers will change as we all try new wicking materials, new RBAs, new models. Besides, those of us who just cruise this sub-forum looking for new threads would get pretty bored if we didn't have a few questions to answer....over, and over, and over....

Not only do answers change, but so do opinions and experiences and devices and juices and recommendations.... Threads eventually expire (when a mod gets around to expiring them... usually when they are resurrected a year or two or three later by someone with the same or similar question).

ECF is in the content business. The users of ECF provide that content. The fresher the content and the more of it, the higher the search rankings for applicable and even just similar search terms and therefore the more traffic, the more members, the more vendors, and even higher paying advertisers (log out of your account - surf ECF while logged out and you will notice the advertising).

I do like the search feature and I have often on usenet and on other web forums pulled out the occasional LMGTFY link to make the point that search is important... but ECF treats their content differently than most other forums... and it's important for vendors who have sub-forums to maintain a friendly atmosphere where people help each other and genuinely like each other.

Not everyone has used forums before, the etiquette in Reoville is simple....ask away!! I would much rather have a newbie ask a question and get an answer in a reasonable amount of time than to have them get frustrated using the search function and give up. Every time I have tried to use the search function I get hundreds of posts to sift through. Reoville has more in common with a family reunion than it does with a proper forum.

I don't mind repetitive questions.

For those that want to search bit don't like the built-in search you tell your favorite search engine to only look on ECF by adding the string below to your search.

Thanks Filthy, I did not know you could do that. My 13 year old grandson can run circles around me on a computer. Maybe I should have him give me 'puter lessons :D
