The search for VV parts

Hi guys and gals,

Just wanted to ask a ? to the seasoned modders and EE's out there. I am pretty new to modding and have built a 3.7 mini box, a 5v kit from mad vapes and a few others. Now I am looking at a VV box type mod.

In the interest of keeping it as small as possible I found this

and am wondering if it would work. Rated at 3a, should be enough to drive an addy correct? Also from what I am reading it doesn't require a cap on the out, so that should cut down on the space requirement as well, (yes?)

It's been ages since I have read any electrical tech so I have come to ask the mod GOD's their opinions.

One last ?, with a 220 ohm trim pot this should reach full potential of 6v correct?

Yes, this converter works great! I have built many mods since last August using this and have converted many smokers to vaping.

You should use a fixed ~218 ohm resistor to insure it does not go above 6V, and a pot to adjust it down as needed.

You could always order a free sample board from TI, the ti8100 works awesome.
