Joan was cool to do that! i saw her when i returned in '88. she was kinda fried. they had to take her behind the stage and check her out. the bass player slides down on his knees and starts doing an extended solo... i'm like, hey wait a minute, i know that sound! it was todd's bass player, kaz. kasim sulton did an album and tour with joan. joan used to play bumpershoot a lot.
