Mine came wrapped in bubble wrap in a box so big I was really hoping I got the 30ml upgrade like msgnyc did! Alas it was just the 10ml I ordered. All I have at the moment to do my tasting on is a protank with a fresh 2.2ohm coil. (will have to get that coil built for the IGO-W soon-it will be my first build). I experimented with various settings on the MVP and find that the sweet spot for me on this juice is at a 7 or 7.5 watt setting, even at 8 watts it's good, which is interesting since everything else tends to taste a little burnt to me at that level.
So, I've enjoyed quite a few long puffs here, trying hard to be objective since I know I've been really expecting good things from this juice so I didn't want that to cloud my judgment. *puff puff puff* I get a smooth full bodied natural vanilla bean, a toasted almond with a smokey earthy oaky note followed by a bourbon taste on my tongue, and a toasted almond exhale, almost seems like it has a touch of tobacco but I guess that's just the rich oaky sort of earthy flavor playing tricks on me, many more puffs later to my disappointment I do not detect the promised coconut note but that's minor, I can't seem to put this down, it's just really really good! It has a rich smooth complex flavor, it makes me feel like I should be sitting in a darkly lit study in an over-sized chair contemplating shelves of hefty books with a frosty mug of Guinness or a tumbler of brandy on a glossy polished desk in front of me (or a nice cup of tea), I think this would go great with any of those things. It would be a good thing to vape during a poker game.
It's just really relaxing.
I haven't had the famed Castle Long that this is most likely modeled after so the closest thing I can compare it to would be High Five from GoodLife Vapor ("natural oak tobacco, vanilla and bourbon"). Compared to that I'd say the High Five has an overall "brighter" flavor, a more pronounced, sweeter vanilla, and similar oaky and bourbon notes but much less earthy or dark, deep, less toasty, less complex, than this and lacking the almond or coconut (but then I don't think my High Five is done steeping so it might get a bit earthier with time-but with that said I love the High Five as well).
I love this and just ordered two 30ml (since I'm afraid it might become unavailable for a while) along with the Blue Lagoon that I've been wanting to try. This is really a good vape also to fulfill that cig urge since it has such a deep toasty flavor. Also, I had someone else try it and he said right away (without telling him the flavor description) that he tasted vanilla, and a hint of coconut, so maybe it's just me that isn't getting the coconut here, boohoo! He liked it also. I might just find a toasted coconut and add a bit to it.
