that's the same reason I threw in the towel. I need consistency in my juice flavors.

I wish I would have read this thread before I ordered. This is the reason I stopped buying from my previous vendor. Consistency.
It blows my mind how a company that makes E Liquid can be inconsistent and stay in business.

To me, the first bottle I got of gentlemens reserve was a whim and I wasnt sure I would like it. Turns out it was simply amazing, I fell in love, so I finished the 30ml and ordered 2 more. Wasnt the same as the first bottle, I have no clue what the deal was but it wasnt as good. And I wasnt the only person here to say this either.

All the so called "premium" suppliers that i've read about here on ECF have been huge disappointments as far as quality control. I've had much better luck with the smaller vendors that aren't even mentioned here on ECF as far as consistency. If a company that produces Eliquid can't keep their batches straight we should not be supporting them.

I personally havent bought or even vaped anything from the steam co In months. This new pumpkin juice is tempting but deep down I know I wont like it. Im like you though, ive had better service, better juice, and better price from places not mentioned here. But thats not too say the steam co ever did me wrong, I just think theres better out there. All opinion of course.

Agreed. I'm sure Steam Co is a great company. I'm just running into this problem with other vendors as well. Just a little frustrating.

I also loved GR originally. I ordered from the 5/1 batch as well, and oddly enough one of the bottles tasted almost as good to me, but the other two not quite up to par. I didn't think they were as bad as some posters here made them out to be, weaker tough for sure. When i contacted the company, they replaced all three bottles with a 6/1 batch. At this point i am not sure how they compare with the first bottle i purchased. I believe perception and memory of taste might be playing tricks on me !

I was going to order the seasonal reserve. Had it in cart, went to checkout and saw the outrageous shipping cost. I just had 2 30 mil glass bottles and a plastic 15 delivered for $2.56 , no way I'm paying more than 2x that for one bottle. Shameful, the juice looked good and I'm still looking for my go to vendor. When will these vendors shed their arrogance and realize it's a buyers market. There are too many vendors making great juice to expect people to pay outrageous prices on shipping, or juice in some cases.

I'm pretty sure the batch of Gentlemens Reserve I have says 8/21. Anyone else have a problem with this or any experiwnce with this tasting weird?

I have a bottle of Gentlemen's Reserve, 12mg, dated 8/21. It tastes comparable to FP's Castle Long but with more distinctive coconut notes. No issues with this one.

Maybe the coconut is throwing me off. I think I was expecting more of a vanilla almond tobacco mix. I have a bottle of FP Castle Long coming today. I'll be able to compare the two.

Neither of these flavors have a tobacco base as far as I am aware. Have you had Castle Long before? If not, you're in for a treat! Taste is subjective and both CL and GR are comparable, but to me Castle Long has a more pronounced bourbon flavor (which I never thought I'd love!) and the Gentleman's Reserve has a more pronounced coconut flavor. I think they're both great but YMMV. I hope the Castle Long gives you a new taste for the Gentlemen's Reserve you already have.

Uh oh news of another new release coming before 10/1.

Ouroboros

Pre-Pear for this delicious combination of Sweet Pear, Yogurt, and Honey Pecan. It is a favorite among our staff, and a very lucky few customers who have gotten to taste test it early. We will be launching this flavor before October 1st, so keep your eyes peeled!

Hopefully there will be a new discount code. It's been forever and seeing I paid full price & IMO a high shipping charge to preorder Lock Shock & Barrel they kinda owe me! LOL

I second that. Old English Orchard and Merlyns Bow are in my daily rotation, both r now an ADV for me. I also tried Tardis Blueberry,it has a great blueberry flavor is very sweet. Moment 37 is also very good. The juices seem to burn very clean my coils last longer. OEO is clear. They arrived clear but darkened up after a couple weeks. I ordered Merlyns Bow to compare with the Grandmaster by Five Pawns. I like Merlyns Bow better its not as thick and syrupy as Grandmaster, and delivers same great flavor. I've Vaped allot of Nicoticket juices lately were my go to vendor. The Steam Co is now my #1. Vape in Areo tank on Vamo, and Protank3 on Spinner 2. At 8watts.

I was thinking of breaking down and trying out some 5 Pawns juices, but through my research, I found this thread, so I decided to check out Steam Co.'s barrel aged juices instead. I hope that the few bad things I read about these juices not being as good as they were originally in this thread has passed, not that I would know the difference anyway. :p

I ended up getting a bottle of each of the Reserve juices (Gentleman's, Old English Orchard, and Beaumont) as well as a 10ml sampler of Sean Lepreconnery, if not for the flavor itself, but for the name as well. I used the code TFC2014 for 25% off, which put my order just over $50, so it qualified for free shipping. Bonus!

Question: Do the Reserve juices come in glass bottles or the PET plastic bottles?
