Well I got my first Steam Co. order and I have to say that it was a mixed bag for me. I got both of the reserve flavors.

I really really enjoyed the Gentleman's Reserve. It's just the kind of tobacco vape I love. The smell of the fresh bottle was very coconutty, almost like sniffing a mounds bar. The coconut flavor isn't that strong to me vaping and it is very nicely balanced. Great juice.

The Orchard reserve really disappointed me. I wanted so much to love that one, but it just has a flavor in there that puts me off. I can tell it is a good juice, just doesn't do it for me. I can't quite put my finger on what it is that I'm tasting in there, the toffee maybe, but it is a bit cloying and murks up the fruit flavor. I wish I could have gotten a smaller bottle, but I will set it aside for a good long while, and if I still dont like it, I'll try mixing it with something I guess.

I'm curious to see what other reserve flavors they come up with, and hope they make them available in something less than 30 ml.

If gentlemen's reserve is like 15 ft fall (or vice versa) maybe I need to try the AiV 15 ft fall? Hmm

I've never been a fan of toffee which is why I didn't try the orchard reserve.

Sounds like on my next order I may have to try Dragon warrior. I really like TGR, and I vape a LOT, so 30 ml just isn't enough :)

I find them similar, but I'd have to vape them side by side for a comparison. The one I might try is the Tardis Blueberry. I'm dying for a good bakery blueberry flavor. I might try and talk myself into trying it. I just don't want to keep taking chances on juices.

If I remember right, AiV's 15 Foot Falls is a s'mores tobacco juice.

IMO it's very authentic. Go for it without hesitation! :)

I guess I'm just going to have to order waffles and find out for myself LOL

Just wanted to update.

Placed a second order with Steam Co.

No leaky bottles, packaging was bordering on overkill. Individually bubble-wrapped bottles with an air bag filling up remainder of box. Easily the top packaging job I have seen to date. Picked up more GR and Merlyn's Bow. Everything is fantastic, excellent vendor. Highly recommend Merlyn's. I think I kinda prefer it to the two reserves I've already fallen in love with. The banana is there at the start, but sort of perfectly presented. It's not in your face and holds no candy-like tartness and perfectly buffered by the peanut butter. The banana+PB couples to make something kinda caramelly in flavor (savory, slightly sweet) and the added caramel in the back really solidifies the marriage of the two.

I have some friends who make charms for mods and they know how much I love TGR (a bottle from my last order was for them). We met for breakfast yesterday and they surprised me with a charm to go with TGR. :)

Note on Packaging: I received my package from the steam co in the same manner, bubble wrapped with air pillow... The best packaging I've received for e-juice has been from lucky 7 vapes, each bottle was in sealed plastic, then wrapped in bubble wrapped individually and sent in a nice oversized box with proper filling. 2 thumbs up. Prettiest or most creative was from a face book site called alembic, where the box was hand painted and decorated inside with his logos and designs, filled with shredded confetti... it was like opening a gift ;)

Back on topic:
I spoke with the steam company today, they said they are working on offering 100ml bottles - waiting on the bottles to come in. Maybe another month was the nice ladies guesstimate. No clue on pricing yet for 100ml bottles, and no discount currently for ordering 4x 30ml bottles to total 120ml of juice (TGR). I was a little shocked at the no discount for 4x bottles but it is what it is.

Hrm well maybe because it reminds me of AiV's 15 Ft. Falls, which is a tobacco. Don't want to be rude by bringing up another vendor, but there it is. And yeah possibly the barrel steeping has something to do with it too. Jeez, I need to read the descriptions better next time. :D

Don't feel bad, for some reason when I first ordered and tried GR I too thought it was supposed to be a tobacco!

Yesterday I gave my friend the bottle of TGR I got for him (he and his wife made the charm for me to go with TGR). He just texted me and said he thinks he might have overvaped it because he likes it so much. :)

I think, as I vape the start of my third bottle, that I can say for sure TGR is my favorite vape. I have dozens and dozens of bottles of juice, lots I paid for, lots I get through local community events (I get so many I am constantly PIF just to make room), all "premium" brands like Five Pawns, Suicide Bunny, Drake's, Mr. Goodvape, Adam Bomb, etc. etc. and The Gentleman's Reserve just outshines them all. Good job, Steam Co!
