This was one of my first attempts at a mod. It's a dumbed down version of the little sister that uses the same mechanics as the original lighter. Some modifications to the plastic, and a single wire.
It's this case: 3-minute Lighter mod he has a link to it in there, I have one, but haven't decided what to do with it yet... and the only guy I have found who sells them took 2 weeks before he put it in the mail, so I don't think I'll be getting another....
edit: ok, the link to the seller is a couple of pages down, so here it is: eBay supergooddeals

Did you use the same lighter and 10440's? I sure wouldn't. The 10440's are pretty useless and with a 500mA (maybe) max discharge rate they are being seriously stressed, especially if you are a Joye 510 user (at 5V it wants to pull about 2.3A). Plus the small size, especially if you are using a linear LDO reg means lots of heat, with no place to go.
This little Connman creation uses 14500's and gives you some breathing room at the top.
Using a Texas Instruments IC Linear Regulator 5V 3A and a Horn button style switch
He had to play around to get the TF's to fit. These LiMN's tend to be shorter and may fit without any modification.
Very nice. I was using the same lighter case with 10440s, figured it was the same as the little sister, and that's a well recieved mod. This looks nice though.
is all the wires in the top part of this? its very nice. is there a pic of the insides of this mod somewhere? i seen this case somewhere. oh yeh in the supermarket by lightbulbs and batterys. but the price was like 25 bucks for it. this mod isnt variable is it? yeh the lil sister and big brother have all the guts on the top part of the mod also all in a tiny space. Ken, the guy who sells lil sister and big bro, sure knows how to work with small things. only problem with his pot wheel was its kinda fragile and it broke off of mine. but he repaired it by putting in a new one. does anyone know what kind of POT he used? its real tiny..
It's whatever you want it to be. The point is there is more room to work in, more room for the heat to dissipate, more room for decent batts and a good switch.
hey WillyB yeh i know i really have no idea what i am looking at yet as i am total noob but this is the one i seen in the store. is this moddable? i mean this one is expensive and the other one from ebay is 4.99 so it mkaes sense to go with the cheaper. boy i have lots to learn lol. anyway when iu see anything like this i say to myself hmm can this become a mod.lol sorry guys
