The Taste Variation Between Different E-liquid Vendors

Hey Everyone!

I am new to ECF, however have been vaping for a little while. I tend to stick to tobacco flavors mixed with a little menthol, however every now and again I go out on a limb and try new vendors. I recently ordered a sample pack from this vendor and was able to select up to 5 flavors in 5-5ml bottles. I received my e-liquid only to be completely disgusted with ALL THE FLAVORS! Even the Tobacco tasted horrible. I thought I ordered all different PG/VG mixes, however they all came to me the same (prob 90% PG). I literally had a "MJ Flavored" that tasted like Pine Sol and "Earl Grey Tea" that tasted like Beefeaters Dry Gin! "Mt. Dew" Tasted like lemon Pine Sol....the list continues! Horrible Liquids!! Ill stick to my back up vendor even if I have to pay a couple dollars extra.

Has anyone else come across E liquid like this? Let me know!

I know what you mean too. It also seems like the longer I vape (more days...) the less happy I am when I order new juices. I am just starting DIY. So far my few mixes are not stellar, but at least I don't have the "let down" feeling after trying a juice I have ordered and waited in anticipation for only to be disgusted. Somehow crappy-ish juice is a little better when you make it yourself rather than have your mouth set for something coming through the mail. LOL!

What I find really funny about my obsessive quest to find the perfect juice is... "why does it matter so much to me...?" Meaning I smoked the same exact brand of cigarettes for 25+ years and they tasted like crap, but I still smoked 'em. Makes no sense...

I've come across some flavors that were completely unvapable. Some, especially the tobacco flavors, will get better if they steep for a few weeks. Once I ordered this tobacco flavor thinking I would like it. It tasted like a bottle of perfume. After a couple of weeks I tried it again and it was a pretty pleasant vape. If you don't like the flavor, let it sit for a couple of weeks or a month and try it then.

Finding decent juice is an epic journey. The bad thing is that taste is subjective. The juices I like may taste like crap to you. Everyone has favorite vendors, and most of us spent a ton of money before we found them.

My mistake was trying the lowest price juice I could find, so I could try more juice. I just ended up trying lots of really bad juice.

My go-to vendors are rawrvapor.com, ahlusion.us, and kalamazoovaporshop.com.

I too have been dis-satisfied with blends so far
I'm going the natural/organic route at this point
It takes time to find the right stuff
I find that if I mix menthol with the crappy juices it sometimes makes them almost bearable rather than just tossing 'em
Right now, I'm trying ECBlend
I'm thinking the fruit/dessert route might be best for now till I find the right Vendor

Welcome to ECF! I have only been vaping for about 5 months now but I have learned a few things. It takes a very long time for your taste buds to heal. Juice that tastes good today may taste horrid next week or in a month and visa versa. Many juices need to steep anywhere from a few days to a month. I have several of the highly recommended juices that at first tasted terrible. I couldn't figure out how so many people loved them. Shoved them in the back of the cabinet, pulled them out a month later and WOW - completely different and wonderful. Many I still don't like and probably never will. No one is going to like all the same juices.

Equipment can make a huge difference for some people and some people are completely satisfied staying with their original equipment.

It's a frustrating and expensive journey but in the end it's worth it. Just keep trying the sample sizes and realize things will start to taste better as your taste buds heal. Good luck!
