#1 - Hopefully living longer. Definitely breathing easier.
#2 - Not subjecting my better half to my nasty habit. It is so nice not to pause the moment when we're hanging out so that I can go outside to smoke. 2yrs since analoogs and I still feel badly for her putting up with my stink in those days.
#3 - vaping in bed. I never smoked analogs in bed. I am always up later than her and it is nice to enjoy a good vape until I lay down.

I could go on and on

I am loosing weight because of all they yummy desert flavors
I am drinking more water
I do not have ANY desire to smoke anymore
I can smell and taste again so much better
KjAthena, can u PM me with some of the "yummy desert flavors"? I would love to hear them but I assume it's off topic for this thread, and would also like to hear about that weight loss--something I wouldn't mind! (always watching weight)

Besides the obvious (health benefits, sense of taste and smell, not having to go out to smoke, etc, etc.) I like the hobby side of it; mixing juices, wrapping coils, experimenting. I also enjoy getting others into vaping and teaching them all the stuff I have learned here on ECF. Oh, and I like vaping at my desk to my hearts content... and blowing vape-rings.

The vapor tastes and smells good to me, but it also has had an air freshener effect of getting rid of the old stale ashtray smell in my furniture, from my cigarette days. Nonsmokers used to come in and hold their noses or fan the air in front of them, feeling threatened to be barbecued in my smoke. Now they tell me my potpourri smells good. I always have to explain. It's also nice not to worry about being able to fit in a smoke when I'm traveling, between planes, or in a nonsmoking hotel. I know someone got fined by the Marriott chain of @ssh0les a while back, for vaping in room. That goes to show you that you'd better keep your PV in a locked suitcase when not in use, and use the internal door latch while vaping in your room. Then let anybody try to prove anything. Some hotels pay the housekeeping staff to report on smokers.

My biggest concern originally was the SMELL, especially when it comes to employers or potential employers.

But, there are lots of other benefits:
  • No more going out in 100 degree heat or freezing cold (along with the bees and mosquitoes).
  • Saving money.
  • Less anxiety and compulsion about when I can get my next fix.
  • I finally got rid of that deep down fear of getting emphysema (that I was always refusing to think too much about).

The fact that I have cut down on analogs by 80-90%. Then the true chance I can quit completely. I have enormous stress [long tragic story] in my life & even my Dr. say's it's not a good time to quit. [Via Chantix] Suicide city. There's no way he would prescribe it for me at this time.
Just the chance I might be able to quit is more than exciting. I'm sure working on it. I just wish I could find a true all day vape. That's the biggest challenge so far & if I ever do I'm there.
I haven't had much luck in the liquid department & money is non existent. I have a zero vape budget but it's still cheaper than the stinkies. I must quit.

Thank god I found ECF & vaping.
