New York to Daytona Beach via Orlando
Fedexed the "big guns" and juice to my dad's place. Took three 510 "disposable" Q cig packs and two open assembled cigarettes with me. Used e-cigs in the limo to Newark; no questions asked. TSA didn't question the 510s but they did confoscate my v-8 juice. Can you really do more damage with v-8 juice than with bananas, apples, and a pound of taffy? Ever notice that taffy is very close to semtex in consistancy? But I digress. Vaped discretely in the terminal; no questions asked. Three batteries barely lasted the 64 miles from Orlando to the beach. Of course, I realized that they were shipped with only a half charge. Fortunately, the fedex was waiting for me. This was my first trip anywhere in years without a laptop -- I'm an iPad man now but the iPad has no USB ports. I had a couple of wall chargers and the Duracell super battery-powered USB port, but I still had to depend on imposing on my stepmother for her USB ports. Like an idiot, I forgot to bring a car charger. The 510 disposables (from litecigusa.net) were the star of the show -- fully charged, they lasted a very long time and perfectly fit Inferno/Magma EC2 cartomizers. Very neat. I showed the two smoking stepsisters and step brother-in-law the e-cigs; one sister thought it was the devil's work and wanted to "really" quit. The other took the two extra disposables i had fedexed and all of the web page addresses. On the street side of the bike trip between Ponce Inlet and Ormond Beach, I saw five stores selling a variety of e-cigs. The only non-ripoff was the 7-11 selling an NJOY kit for 19.99, although it was still over the per-pack-equivalent of cigarette prices in Florida -- $5.50 to $6.00. You would have to know to order on line when they have a buy 2, get one free sale. Rental car return didn't notice that the car had been "smoked" in; TSA still had no questions, and the limo guy on the way home didn't say a word. Sadly, the UPS shipment back from Daytona didn't get to New York yet.
I may be able to fly again without ripping my fllesh from my bones. Next time I will try to sneak one in the lav.
