I've always wondered about the policies vs actual use case for vaping in the airport. I've never tried, but even if it's allowed I don't imagine it would be worth the inevitable hassle.
My point to this post was that AND the fact that it just now clicked in my head that I had a perfect opportunity to answer that question last Saturday at EsmokerOnline b&m store in Orlando when there were two TSA agents standing in line! It didn't even occur to me to ask. kicking myself now.

I was in both DFW (dallas) and DIA (denver) airports last week and openly vaped while waiting at the gate. Nobody asked me or raised an eye at my vaping. Of course, I wasn't puffing out huge plumes of vapor and tried to keep it as minimal as possible as I didn't want to be pestered before my flight. Had someone asked me about it, instead of calling it an e-cigarette, I would have referred to it as a nicotine inhaler and that it may give off a small bit of water vapor when I exhale. If they would have said "Oh, like a e-cigarette" I would have said, pretty much it's like that.
