Chevron the oil company uses a chevron in their logo. The chevron shape was around long before the oil company.

LOL thanks.

And I was actually naming it after the *insignia* cheveron (or cheveron):

Chevron (insignia) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It was used a lot in heraldry, and...although there is no V-pattern on the Woodville, there is a V in the spelling of Woodville:) I know, my logic is somewhat...um....interesting.:)

Chevron (insignia), a heraldic symbol
Chevron (anatomy), a bone
Chevron (geology), a fold in rock layers
Chevron (land form), a sediment deposit across the earth's surface
Chevron (aerospace), sawtooth patterns on some jet engines
