Waiting for my 109 and in the meantime smoking analogs like I've never smoked before!

It feels like the ultimate love/hate relationship....on the one hand, I am dreading the idea of quitting analogs and making sure I smoke as many of them as possible before I hopefully permanently am able to switch to a substitute.

But, at the same time, I am really hoping these will be the last ones. Also, its almost like I am subconsciously punishing myself by making myself feel like ****e in order to appreciate even more the benefits of e-cigs!

Sorry, perhaps not very well phrased, but I am sure forum members will understand what I am trying to say!

You sound like my mom the weekend before her diet starts :D She will pig out on anything and everything saying she's gotta get it in before Monday LOL

Personally, I think that the psychological aspect of telling yourself that you are quitting something leads to failure. If you tell yourself (and your friends) that you are not quitting anything, just starting something new, its much less stress on OMG I HAVE TO HAVE A SMOKE!

Just my humble opinion.

BTW, if you want a smoke, HAVE one!

I "quit" smoking without even wanting to or trying to... It just came about naturally. I actually prefer vapor over cigarettes. I won't say I never get a little urge for a camel or whatever but after a toke or two from my passthrough, that feeling passes. ...

I agree with rita. Don't make it an either or situation for yourself. When you get a device, use it. If you want a cig smoke it. Just try to use the vaporizer more than cigs and you will be fine. If your mind is telling you that cold turkey is the only way to stay off cigarettes then you have too much to live up to. It will happen for you as long as you don't beat yourself up over having to smoke every once in a while. You will find over time that vaping is much more pleasureable than lighting up.

Ditto. I'm still a smoker and can have one whenever I want. The desire for the most part just isn't there anymore.

Another ditto--I never planned on quitting the analogues, it just happened.

I'm still having the odd toke off my hubby's roll-ups, but my usual reaction is *urgh*.

The desire to smoke surfaces when my e-cigs don't perform properly (particularly the minis as the batteries run flat) so make sure you keep them charged & topped up.

I'm going to add another ditto here.

I hadn't planned to quit. I bought my 901 with a gift card at xmas. After 4 days i really didn't want to smoke an analog too bad. Then after 4 weeks of only vaping i was out of juice for a week. Went back to the cigs and all i can say is blarrrggghhhh. To think i used to enjoy these.
I was actually craving a hit of riskee or 555.

Don't plan anything, try it out, keep some smokes around for a while, have one if you want one. After a few days vaping they will probably start tasting like crap anyway.

Good luck and let us know how things go.

I planned on quitting analog's but never put pressure on myself to go either or. The first day I smoked about 5 less, then the second, about 15 less. But hey, if I go all regular cigs tomorrow, then the next day, the e cigs, no problem. The less pressure, the less stress, and the less stress, the less I run towards the old standby.

BTW, my smokers cough is already getting better on the 3rd day. I smoked about 30-40 cigs a day.

Hey Floyd,

I've been smoking up a storm here also while waiting for my shipments to arrive. Went through over 2 packs yesterday (a lot for me) to the point that I felt ill.

Never intended to quit smoking tobacco with these e cigs, but after reading about all the people who have replaced their habit I suspect I'll be one of them.

In order to reinforce this I think chaining them for the past couple days is my way of preparing. Not to "get it while I can", but rather to thoroughly disgust myself with the taste and smell.

Frankly, just being on this forum with all this talk of smoking... it's certainly a trigger. A double trigger actually, in that I need my fixes, then there's also the excitement of anticipation, which at this point is just as strong a trigger.

And so we wait. Soooo very sick of tobacco, I just know this is going to be great.

im on my 3rd day of vaping..i havent had an anolog since i got my 901 kit. i received the package at work and when it was time to leave i left my pack of smokes on a shelf by my desk telling myself i dont need them. the smokes are still on my shelf and i have not touched them since.

i thought to myself that would be great if i actually quit analogs but didnt have too much hope. just happened that i do not even crave the analogs in the least.

BTW...when i went to my car this morning i smelled the inside....DAM....it smells like an ashtray. i am definetly gonna clean my car this weekend if the weather is good
