Hey Guys Just been looking around at Portable Charging Cases for charging my volt batts on the go and hold a couple of batts and cartos while i see smokeless image sells the Slider pcc and Mega v2 i would really like to see something a little more robust.ie possibly something built out of alloy ie a case shaped like a analog pack that could hold 4 cartos and charge a 78mm or 65 mm battery and possible hold a fully assembled 65mm battery with carto.

If you could make a pcc what would you have in it and what would it look like ?

I am sure if there where enough requests the kind people over at smokeless image could look into creating :matrix: the ultimate pcc for on the go :D

More along the lines of a Stronger and Robust PCC :)

If it was made of maybe an aluminium that would live up to a small drop it would be perfect. I have a plastic mega xl pcc that charges dual batts and holds 6 cartos with the clear screen but it is flimsy and it has a crack on the front screen from me dropping it so it is basically collecting dust that and it doesn't seem to fully charge the batterys properly i usually have to put them on the usb charger for atleast half an hour to 45 mins after coming off the pcc.

Yeah aluminium would be nice, something like a pelican case. They could also do something to manage the battery power more efficient and charging by itself while on the go.

I use an Otterbox to hold supplies at home. Anything being carried in my pocket is going to take some abuse. A tougher charging case that holds a couple of batteries and a couple of cartos that can take some real life abuse would be worth it's weight in gold to me.

That sounds like the old mega pcc that they discontinued and replaced with the mega v2. I believe this newer one addresses the power issues, as it's designed from the ground up to properly charge Volt batts (the old one wasn't). Even just with different USB dongles, some would charge these batts properly, and some wouldn't (the ones that I had - go figure). So I know there's a difference in how they charge that they've addressed.

It's not crazy-titanium strong, but it seems to be a little bit more substantial too (about as durable as a smartphone, maybe a little more). How about the protective sleeve, or maybe one with a little more cushion? Won't cut it? :)

Like a smartphone you mean like a nokia 6300 made of STEEL or like a siemens SX1 which falls apart if you fart near it?

Sometimes people working outside of the office need something stronger, dirt, rain, heat mechanical stress breaks those devices easy.

Yes that would pretty much sum up what i am looking for as i work in a factory enviroment with heavy machinery it would then definately live up to a tougher environment outside an office then.:)

It wouldn't necessarily not cut it but it would mean every time you wanted to take out the pcc you would have to remove the protective sleeve. Maybe if there was a protective skin ie like an ipod silcon gel case that you didn't have to take off the pcc even a simaler finish to the volt batts it would offer decent protection and provide quicker acsess to your pcc.:)

ABS plastic like this useless survival kit. (The chinese can produce plastics like this by the millions)
DeluxToolKit_big.jpg

Aircraft aluminium.
Carbon fibers. (lighweight but expensive)
Titanium sheets are very strong and light.

Have you seen how those clamshells open up and get distorted by drops? Then you have to get the clamshell and put it back on.
Has successfully protected my phone, which I've had since 2007...Once in awhile I have to remove the snap-on shells to play with the battery or wipe down the front screen, and my phone still looks like new underneath. This is a hard shell. I kinda like the idea of the silicone ones better (but they don't make those for my really old phone).

Obviοusly you are not working on a industrial environment or outside with rain, dust, mud, tools etc.
Mine is protected by a case made out of an aircraft aluminium with hinges etc, very bulky stuff and from the first day i have dents, scratches, some other problems on the case. The phone itself has some small scratches and dents. Small but present.
Snap on thingies do not work well, only sturdy cases.

btw silicone rubbers suck big time.

I don't carry a purse, so my phone pretty much goes in a pants pocket. I don't climb 40-ft poles, etc., but it got me though working at IKEA, DIY construction (lots and lots), trail biking (dropped it a lot of times doing that), etc.
I may not be as rough and tumble as you, but I'm not a sit-in-my-cubicle-all-day type of girl either. I'm pretty active. And I'm beginning to resent the attacking tone in your posts. There are nicer ways to say things IMO. C'mon, loosen up. I thought we were friends.

LOL I'm not attacking you cat :)
If i drop from a 50 meter pole when i reach the ground (hopefully with my head) i just want to have my volt ready for vaping :D

You dropped it while biking and it got away with it? Lucky phone lol What phone is that? Is it a snap on two cover case or a single one with a hinge?

OP is looking for a PCC like this, as I am too...

Joye 510 PCC (Personal Charging Case). With its built in lithium battery, once you charge the PCC you have the ability to charge a battery up to 5 times while on the go away from your charger. The joye 510 MEGA pcc will charge both MEGA automatic and manual batteries. The PCC has spots to carry a couple of cartridges, along with a spot for the atomizer, and a specialized spot for the battery to be screwed in to charge.
