Hi all, been off the cigs since Jan 3rd. As soon as I realised vaping was actually more enjoyable than smoking I knew I would never smoke a cigarette again, it's pointless. And that's after 40 years of smoking and trying EVERYTHING to stop.
So I got paranoid about my device running out of batteries , running out of juice, burning out a coil or having a major malfunction. I still like a little Nic fix, even though I'm down to 10mg juice now. I quickly went from cig alikes to small tanks to a VTR and bigger tanks, and withing 6 weeks I had spent a LOT like most of us on mods, atty's, juices, making coils, trying mesh etc etc.
I was carrying spare mods, spare tanks, spare cartos, spare juice, spare tubes, spare batteries, even wire and cotton plus a tool kit when I went off on a job. It was driving me nuts and taking me longer to pack my vape gear than my movie stuff, especially when going abroad, but I was terrified of having to have a cigarette if it all failed.
I got a Microstick with a Sofia, learned how to wick a microcoil, and started making my own 10mg Custard. That made me a bit more secure, but the tiny tank and small battery was still a problem. I went through a dripping stage, then got fed up with leaks, toppling tubes and pockets soaked in e-juice.
I tried the Billet Box with Diver, not enough vaper for me after dripping and too finicky. I ws also too scared to take it out in case I scratched it! Throughout all of this my trusty Microstick was always on my belt (it fits perfectly in a Leatherman Juice holder btw) and never ever let me down.
I never fancied a Reo as they look a bit strange in the photos. But I got a mini Woodville from Rob at Reosmods and realised immediately that it had the flavour and the reliability. I was almost there. I could put a .7ohm coil in the Reomizer with cotton and get better flavour than with my drippers. I say almost there because it only had a 14500 battery and a 3ml juice bottle. So I always needed a spare battery and spare juice.
So I finally took the plunge and ordered a Reo Grand Low Profile Superlight in black with a Reomizer . I couldn't believe how small it is , hardly bigger than the mini really, and how light but strong it is. It also looks so much better than in any photos. I got a leather belt case, so now I always know where it is, and don't spend hours walking round the house or office looking to find my tube mods that were always leant up against something.
So I think I've found the ultimate vaping device, it's finally done it for me! I have a single device that I know will last a full 12 hour day and will never let me down. I still have the Microstick on my belt just in case, and keep the Woodville in the car as a backup, but in two busy weeks of long jobs I've never even ran out of battery or juice. I haven't had to go to a backup ever, so soon I will probably trust the Reo enough to fly solo!
I do have a 10ml bottle wedged in there to keep the door jammed shut, and use the original reomizer as the top screws on so I don't open the door or remove the atty top when pulling it out of the pouch. But that's all I grab as I leave the house now.
When I'm not wearing a belt my fingers slide in the belt loop and I can squonk through the hole in the case, and fire the reo through the top strap!
So after nearly 8 months of searching I think I've found something that will do me, it makes clouds when needed, tastes brilliant with my own juice and the battery life and build quality is brilliant. I'm not interested in shiny stuff anymore, I'd forgotten that all I wanted to do was stop smoking, and now I have what I needed.
The customer service has to be the best I've ever experienced, Rob is a busy man but answers emails personally and when I had a problem with a centre pin (not his fault) he sent me a whole Reomiser instead of a new pin! I deal with a lot of businesses through my company, and don't come across genuine customer service often.
So yes there are shinier mods, there are more powerful mods, and there are more expensive mods, but I think the other makers are missing the point. The Reo just wokrs, tastes great, lasts longer, holds more ejuice, doesn't leak, has more battery life and is compact and tough. I will still use my Microstick for a stealth vape on a job, but everything else has been sold or given away!
If anyone knows of anything better let me know, I'm not affiliated to anyone, or a fan boy, I have an open mind and will try anything new, and I have funds again now all the other gear has gone
