this is the concept i have been thinking for work

its a tube with a springed lid, with another tube with a slide on it. slide it up and the inside tube pushes the lid open, puff puff, slide the slide down and its springed lid closes tight to keep grinding dust and slag and grease out...

Thats a little inflammatory. You think the people that started things like VV and PWM, the tube mod as we know it and all of the other stuff invented and stolen over the past 2 years aren't "real modders"? Just because people don't take an immediate liking to what YOU think is the perfect MOD is in no way shape or form license to make them sound like idiot novices.

Seriously have you seen the great Darwin/Provari debate? I love BOTH of my Darwins, and people would argue and shout from the mountain tops that a provari beats it hands down. It is a preference issue. Saying you need a "REAL" modder? Why can't you build it then. Most of the modders here AND elsewhere have literally shaped the face of e-cigs in a VERY short time. I have ALOT of respect for aLL of them, and personally take exception to that comment.

Hope you have great success with your venture, but that is not a good way to get help.

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Great idea you have there but in the meantime how bout a reo mini or grand in a cell phone pouch on your belt. It's what I do as I work outside on the roads paving shoveling dirt and dust etc. The pouch keeps the dirt out and it is durable enuf to take a good sh** kickin.

no offense but when I say real modder, I mean someone with the tools to build their own box, not just design their mod around what they already have. battery boxes, zippos, and portable chargers are cool and all but I'm looking for someone with a lathe, mill, and an aluminum welder. If I was a real modder I would have built it myself but I'm not a real modder. I've made box mods to do this but the plastic ain't up to the task. this post has been alive for 2 1/2 months now and I've seen everything from pez containers to vibrator controllers. I give up on this post.

Pineappledan,
you'll have to excuse me for dumping ideas here, I know it's not what this section of the forum is for, but I also assume if you don't have someone stepping up in a few days you may end up on your own, so that's why I share too much.

And, we kind of thought you'd walked away already, but it's such a neat idea it just has a life of it's own now.

I just spoke with my lawyer, the patent application should be in by the morning. Thanks!

jk

The problem with the track lighting-type concept is that track lighting uses like a sharp kind of thing that goes into the conductive rail. Wear will eventually loosen this and not make a good connection. Maybe have it when it's in the "firing" position have some kind of magnet that pulls it into exact place to meet two electrodes that will energize the atty's "train car". That would be perfect cause when it's inside its housing it will never pocket fire.
