My shipment was supposed to be here according to the tracking number. Well, the gov't employee already dropped off regular mail and there was no package. Do they use DSL? It's almost 5:30 so it is looking more and more like I won't be getting anything today. *whine*

Oftentimes mine will come back after he's finished the block with packages that were too big for his bag.

USPS tracking functions suk. Ignore everything except the fact that it has shipped. They don't keep track of the package while it is enroute.

USPS tracking is a rough go-by at best. I had a package "out for delivery" for 2 weeks, then it showed up across the country at sort facility St Paul, MN. two weeks after that it popped back up at Liberty flights where I ordered it from, Who then re-sent it to me, a month and a half from San Diego to Seattle.

I have had simular issues with their tracking... states anywhere from 2 to 4 days and enroute..... It is just an estimate IMO, They do not ship it themselves anymore. They rely on fedex, ups, dsl, and others to ship their flat rate packages. It is dropped off with USPS, but then transferred to another carrier, then delivered to your local USPS post office for delivery. I recently had a package shipped from CA, ended up processed thru NY, then back to TX for delivery, taking 5 days for the priority shipping which stated 2-3 days. So I definantly have felt your pain on this issue... Hopefully all will be well, and it will reach you soon...

Whenever I have a package shipped to me via USPS it seems to always say 'delivered' one business day before it actually shows. Kind of annoying, but it seems to be predictable.

Minor point to make... The USPS has not been part of the Federal government for a number of years now. It is a privately owned and operated business. The only part of them left under federal regulation is the mail boxes both public and private. It is still a federal crime to destroy one.

So it's not a "gov't employee" delivering packages anymore.

Could have fooled me , they act like they were trained by the Gov.I'm waiting on a package from Texas went to NY and I live in Florida, I could have walked there and got it faster and there getting ready to lay off 125,000 how hard would you work if you thought you might be getting fired.

I had a package that was supposedly delivered on the 10th. My mail was on hold until the 11th when I picked it up. No package, and no sign of the package as of yet. I am calling first thing in the morning and reaming them a new one. There is absolutely no reason for it to have even been out for delivery in the first place since my mail was on hold!

Also, I worked for the USPS for about 6 years. I quit about 5 years ago. I doubt much has changed as far as regulations go.
