PG is aight....
VG is where its at, IMO...

My first juice company I used (think of the video game that Xbox is most popular from)... used a high ratio of PG. It helped me get off the stinks, so I am grateful that worked.. But then I started getting extreme dry mouth whenever I tried it. Since then, I prefer high VG...the more the better, IMO...

I have a friend with emphysema though, and I just recently figured out, that VG is bad for him (too thick of a vape)... so more PG the better for him- the PG has a antiseptic (antiviral) type of effect (somewhat) from what I gather... Not that vaping is good for him  but vaping is safer, if its PG, for him (hopefully)

Here is a good read/source of the info I mentioned above:

That's very interesting. Thanks for your input and link, I appreciate it.

They are French -so they shave their arms because they all think they are racing cyclists. Not often you see a Frenchman in a bath either!

I am already bald (in that smooth looking way women like when they rub Easter eggs), but i am also married to a serial killer: "i don't want you to be true - i just want to make - you ever lie to me ill crucify you" - half Imelda May. Sometimes i miss country music.

Haha, that made me LOL. Loud.

Me too! Although I haven't had an asthma attack in years. High VG vapes leave me short of breath after a while.

Same here, when I use my "cloud rig" in the garage for kicks it gives me the tight chest feeling.

Chasing the deadhead mailman leaves me out of breath, well it used to - until i got a sniper rifle. Now he stands stock still.

The Fedex guy still thinks he can do a drive-by, but he'll learn.

T

Bwahahaha Another Superawesome post from SuperT.:lol:

PG is a thinner... As a general rule is helps wicking, especially for tank users. PG provides more "throat hit" without having to add more nicotine...

Vg is thicker, sweeter. It provides vapor production, but it is subject to diminishing returns... I can barely tell the difference between the vapor production of my 65/35 liquid and our 50/50 liquid. Only the most discerning "cloud chasers", which represent a very small segment of the total vaping population, can tell the difference between my 50/50 and "MAXVG". The problem with too much VG is that it dramatically impacts steep time - moving from 65/35 to "MAXVG" increases steep time by at least double. It also tastes "flat" unless additional flavoring is added, which in turn increases the amount of coil build-up. Add to the fact the PG burns cleaner than VG, and you have a perfect storm of "change your atomizer heads daily" - more flavoring + more vg = gunked up coils (that have trouble wicking). That said, most drippers don't care... It doesn't take long to yank the cotton and dryburn the coil. The thicker liquid contributes to less leaking in devices like drippers that (as a general rule) leak often, especially with thinner liquid, which contributes to a perception that they are wasting less liquid... Which is true... Except that high Vg liquid vaporizes less efficiently, thus causing you to have to drip more often.

And then there are the allergies... Pg gives some people fits... Dry throat, etc. Vg gives some people a heavy chest.

With our liquid, it's all about balance... The pg/vg ratio is what it is because we cater to what is, really, the largest segment of vapers... The 'flavor chasers' who want adequate vapor production... And, who demand performance in a wide variety of devices... From simple clearomizers to advanced user devices like RDAs and RTAs.

O There's a perception in the community that higher VG is higher quality, but, I get my 55 gallon drums of VG for half the price of 55 gallon drum of PG... Some irony that high vg liquid commands a higher price in some markets despite the fact that the primary ingredient is less expensive.

Some believe higher VG translates into higher quality, but that just isn't true... There are very well executed and balanced liquids in all ratios... Both disclosed and proprietary. Halo, for example, makes what most people consider to be good liquid... And although they do not specifically disclose ratios, I wager it's at least 80% pg. Are the vocal minority (of which I am part) fond of the high pg? Probably not, but, they appeal to the largest part of the vaping market to a T... Despite the fact that I drip, I'd vape it, Prime 15 is a legend... It's well balanced, well executed,flavorful... And the Vapor production is adequate. /shrug What's not to like?

I think people get all wrapped up in the speeds and feeds sometimes... Tweaking macro Nano dragon coils, measuring voltage drop, squeezing every last drop of vg into the bottle because it's translates into bigger clouds... Eh, more power to em, different strokes for different folks. I'll take my simple microcoil and a well balanced, flavorful, artisan crafted liquid regardless of the ratio.

All Halo juices are either 70/30 or 80/20.

On some slight defense of higher VG liquid cost, it does take more flavoring to get the same taste level when using higher VG. The longer steep times translates to more storage space. But that should not cost any more than 10% higher. I have seen some places charge from 50 to 60% higher. I wasn't impressed with the one place I ordered from that charged on this scale.

For me, once I've found a quality product that tastes good, all that matters is how it makes me feel, and unfortunately, too much PG affects my breathing so badly that I can barely walk or get enough air in my lungs if I don't catch it in time. If I use enough of it continually, I also get eczema type sore scaly patches on my face, an upset tum, dry sore throat, and bleeding sore gums. Needing to use Ventolin under such circumstances when I've never had breathing or allergy problems before has been quite saddening, and something I've sought to avoid.

I've once accidentally used a PG/VG mix on it's own, and within an hour knew I was using a PG/VG mix as my breathing became tighter and tighter.

I had to stop using PG/VG ones, but thought I'd be fine by adding things like Virus, Wakonda etc. to a max VG one such as CB or CLS at a 20-80 ratio ...after a month or two, I had the same symptoms and problems back, so had to cut it even further.

I went back to only Max VG for a week or two and have been OK - just get a bit of congestion from VG, but can take an over the counter tablet for that a couple of times each week and I'm fine. The amount of PG used in flavouring doesn't seem to trouble me too much, so that's obviously my limit. I've also lowered the wattage on the battery and don't inhale much.
Seems my mixes with Virus, Wakonda, Got Cookie & Strawnilla etc. are for treats now and then!

Pictor,

There was a lady in these forums that thought she had an intolerance to PG, like you stated, and I told her to look you up. I hope that was ok.

How do you get the max vg? Does Clark make it special order for you? I would imagine that would be a hard product to come by.

Hi Dani, yes it was fine :) - we're all different, but I told her how it's been for me, and to try a VG to see if she gets an improvement - if not, it could be some other aspect.

I've had a supplier here that does their range in VG for me on request since late April, so once I tried and loved Nicoticket too, thought I had all the great flavour I would ever need! Plenty of variety to change things around whenever I wanted to, and a good handful of every day loves!
I already love the Max VG versions of PBC & ACB plus a couple of other SR's, but other real favouritres are Virus, Wakonda, Got Cookie & Strawnilla, and I'm needing to be really careful how much of those I use ...

I can of course make a bottle of max VG using flavouring, but they're never as good!

I'm waiting with patience? shakehead smilie.gif  for the NT max VG to appear! I hope some of those really good ones are included :)

Pictor,

Have you seen Clark's response in this thread? http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/nicoticket/625326-someone-please-tell-me-about-flavor-2.html

It's something you can wish for! His reply is somewhere in the middle.

Have I ever! ...I have some max VG CB I could mix it with too!
I'd love any of the great favourites in max VG!

I've hit 10 months today and both sons are not only happily surprised, the one who never smoked said to not even worry about getting to zero nicotine ..what I'm using is making them happy! (overall it's around .4mg) :)
(Bet they're not as surprised as I am to have got so far - I know myself pretty well!)
