The black is not rubberized (or skin feeling). And yes, they will scratch. I keep mine in a soft jewelry pouch in my bag of vape gear, which also does get knocked around in my purse.

@AG & pheisty - Gooey butter cake? I'd love to vape such stuff, but it makes me too nervous. FlavourArt flagged even their Croissant and Pandoro (cake) flavorings as "unsuitable for vaping" since they could not make them without using diacetyl or an equivalent like acetylpropionyl, acetoin or the like. I realize this is OT, but can you please excuse me and tell me why you feel safe vaping such flavors. Some people say "I've vaped it, I'm not dead yet, so it can't be very harmful". Is that the case here? Or is there another reason?

Hi Fernand-o (couldn't help myself) and welcome. The aluminum can scratch (via keys, etc.) but it's not really all that noticeable. Especially as you get older...

Well, I vape mostly all organic/naturally-flavored stuff, but every once in awhile, I need my buttery fix. I figure that from everything I've read and researched (a lot), the amounts are so incredibly minute that it really doesn't matter. I'm sure you inhale worse when someone sprays air freshner, or when you're standing on the corner and bus exhaust fills your lungs. The only reason why FlavourArt has stated that the croissant and pandoro are unsuitable for vaping is because of the higher levels of diacetyl. They still have other flavors that have diacetyl in them, just not at such high amounts.
If you want to try GBC with some peace of mind, I would recommend that you go over to the juice forum and look there. There's a lot of information on diacetyl.
Trust me, no one is more paranoid of chemicals than me, but from everything I've read and from how many people (like AG) vape the stuff non-stop, I'm not very concerned about it. If there were issues, we would have heard about it by now. Just my two cents.

Just ordered the camo case for my Vmod. The Vmod is going huntiing with me. All my non-smoking hunting buddies use to tell me the deer could smell analogs. This year will be my first year deer hunting analog-free. I figure if I vape some apple or hazel nut juice that should be just like spraying deer lure around my stand. If worse comes to worse, I'll go hardcore and DYI some Tinks 69 Doe-n-Rut Buck lure e-juice for the Vmod......... lol
